I know it's supposed to be a nice ending and all, but having the conclusion on Takimura being the reincarnation of Kayo made me think that in the end, Hisa still loves Kayo and not Takimura completely. Even at the end where Hisa got reincarnated; he first thought of Kayo and not Takimura.
Hisa WAS STILL LOOKING AT KAYO. Like how Takimura looked at Hisa's reincarnation. Hisa felt like he was saved because in the end he saw and believed that Kayo IS Takimura; even though he's not-- their personality, background and everything is different even though he's a reincarnation. Takimura is Takimura. Kayo is Kayo.
In the end, it felt like Takimura was a replacement for Hisa's old lover, and Hisa's reincarnation was a replacement for Hisa himself, because only Ono had his memories retained. It's quite sad that both parties reincarnated felt like they were just being replacements for each other (unknowingly). （/TДT)/
I agree with the reincarnation substitute thing, espiacally in Kayo/Takimura's case, but I don't get what you mean with Hisa-incarnation first thinking of Kayo?

That's because he realized that Takimura was actually Kayo, but with a different body and different name, and of course without the memories of when he was Kayo. He has reunited with Kayo again. He doesn't take them as two different people, that's why he says that, cause Kayo was born again and their parents called Takimura, that's all (￣∇￣")
