I was dozing off and suddenly became wide awake. It scared me for a second because I thought he was still a kid while infiltrating the merman’s bussy, thankfully not
I don’t like stories where a kid grows up to be their guardian’s partner but this is such a cool setting, with that art style and characters designs too it’s hard to pass. let me try to forget that part.

When it comes to queer men, versatility is more common. I agree why it can be contradicting to real life that switch pairings story doesn’t make up the majority of bl population. but it’s just that most writers (some queer writers too) prefer to link their characters exclusive to one role, which isn’t enough to paint it as a stereotype, rather more like a preference thing. but it’ll be judged by how they portray their characters and story. When it comes to intimacy position, there aren’t just Top, bottom, and vers but Top-vers, Bottom-vers, Vers-bottom, Vers-top. What’s annoying about all of this, is most people want them to switch only because they like a submissive and pretty crybaby bottom more as if there isn’t enough trad/stereotypical representation exist out there. while some hopes for it due to the lack of vers couple, understandable though it might still come off as infuriating since pretty characters are stereotypically depicted as bottom and that’s not what we’re here for. Bara is usually written by gay men for gay men and there are a lot of switch couples there, if you like. Moreover, he solely agreed to it not out of desire but out of desperation since he would rather bottom for him is that means he won’t sleep with somebody else. literally zero potential for a switch, unless it’s “sure you can top me, I feel like receiving anyway” then the hyung concurred because he was serious but it remains just a conversation. only then that it’s reasonable to complain. While you want them to switch you have to understand the character’s fascination and nature too. Just like when you ship two characters, if there isn’t much chemistry, it’ll be dry as heck exactly. You’re free to express your opinion except it’s offensive, irritating, and wrong on some circumstances.
Eg. This BL that is certified for switching but the author actually baited it: https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/love_me_dramatically/
The top showed curiosity and agreed to bottoming, except it didn’t happen. only this type of situation will make it justifying to complain about it not being a vers couple. although switch bl is not my cup of tea, I’m also kind of mad at it
There's nothing’s wrong with switch couples but we signed up for the crybaby pretty beta top x stern manly alpha bottom dynamic and wish for it to remain like that. I like both femboys and masculine bottoms but please do not invade each other's territory. let’s go our separate way now and let us enjoy our manly alpha bottom in peace.
I believe in twink top x manly bottom supremacy.
Also, There are thousands of stories with twink bottoms, how about you go read those and leave this twink top alone? whenever there’s a twink top, some trad fujos always think it’s okay to complain about him not being a bottom. okay we get that it’s your preference but this is not called expressing your opinion, this is an invalidation of one's space. cmon if we were to do this on your story, you would be furious too. Please be considerate about others as well. how long are we going to keep doing this? let's do our best to protect peace, therefore let’s stop complaining about this topic on each other’s story, and be respectful towards both territories. it’s annoying. you don't like twink bottom? leave and say nothing. you don't like twink top? leave and say nothing. Thanks.
