I HIGHLY recommend “Mo Dao Zu Shi”. Similar plot also as the MC dies before the story starts. He was revived at the start of the story in a new body, and the male lead also recognized the MC in the beginning due to *spoilers*
Its a really good story with several adaptions (novel, manhua, donghua or anime, live action, audio drama).
