Why always a slave??
I get that, but it didn't really seem like he couldn't trust people anymore until suddenly he said it when he decided to buy a slave.
People have already said this, but it's really similar to Shield Hero.
When the shield hero bought a slave he was A) suddenly summoned to a new world
(thus low level) , B) betrayed by someone he though he could trust, and C) had the entire kingdom turned against him. So his mistrust of everyone was established and made sense, so that motivation leading him to buy a slave made sense. Plus he wanted them in order to fight, the only reason he bought a loli girl was bc she was the only one he could afford (i think) and he forced her to fight. He was also super jaded so it made sense that he would resort to slavery to ensure his survival.
This guy doesn't have most of that. He was betrayed, and I agree that maybe he has trust issues. But he isn't weak nor is he scorned by anyone (except the hero's party). he also doesn't NEED a slave that can fight since he's level 300, which he acknowledges with the whole "i'll be safe wherever i go." All this seems to me is he's lonely so he wants to pay someone that won't leave him to stay with him... plus he chose a v. young girl (sure she looked pathetic, but he didn't even see the other slaves in the same room)
This seems like an abuse victim trying to run away from their abuser. I see fear and a desire to have complete control not love. I would do the warning in the rate system but when you that, it shows up with every update so im doing it here. No judgment to those who want to explore darker themes but heads up to all others
What ? Man's is furious at the uke because he keeps running away, just won't tell him why and the seme is trying to figure out what he's been doing while be ran away. Granted he's jumping to many conclusions, although what is he suppose to do if he just does not speak. Maybe I missed something because I fail to see how this is signs of an abuse victim
Does that mean the two sisters are marriaging two 1/2 brothers or did I misunderstand?
i think the ml and the black haired dude are half (or full??) brothers, or at least that’s what the story is hinting at rn. my first theory is that the king and the blonde lady had the black haired dude as their first child, and then the blonde lady fell pregnant again with the ml and decided to run away for some reason. second theory is that blonde lady has a sister and that sister is the mother of ml, making the black haired dude and ml cousins. for now the story is basically telling us they’re half brothers tho ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but you could be right!
no i dont think so. the ml had a father different than the dude that the king killed bc the blonde girl liked him. mls father also seemed to have been with mls mother before ml was born so i dont feel like she wouldve gotten pregnant, get together with some guy and then just raise her new child. what about the other prince? what about her crest that was on her neck that we couldve seen in the flashbacks? its not there so yeah the first prince and ml didnt have the same mother. sisters maybe. also im pretty sure mls mother was sold to a noble or something she wasnt kidnapped by some bitch obsessed with her.
I don't think that's the ml mother, because his mother had a mole on her nose bridge, if I remember correctly. I have a theory the king bought Aseph's mother because she looked similar to Silvia but he released her in the end but discover she was pregnant and sent people to kill her whole family to cover up the secret.
the "omg touching knees before marriage" joke got me good!
