Not to 'boast' or anything. There are some yaoi's that have caught me off guard with their uke/seme roles, but this one was fairly easy. I've long since stopped looking at appearances to guess who the seme and uke will be. It's become natural to guess based off of their relation to each other instead, which is what made it obvious. But holy fuck was this manga sexy. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Irie and tsubaki are such an idiotic couple, I love their stupid and fluffy relationship.
Yoshi and gen have a more complex and delicate relationship, I feel a lot of this is resulting from Yoshi's past ofc, we all just have to be patient, it's not easy for Yoshi to get over it so simply, so it's a given you won't have that same carefree, fluffy and idiotic relationship ire and tsubaki share. It's fluffy anyway, just in a slightly more angsty way.
It's the contrast between the two couples that's so brilliant.
I feel like this couple was more "normal", (not less unique,) not that that's a better or worse thing. I love all the couples but whenever I read the other couples stories I kind of feel like I'm dreaming?? I don't know how to explain that feeling, but it's like an unreal feeling.. which is exciting, but it's refreshing to meet a couple like this.
Unless it'll turn messed up later on ha XD This new chapter also mentioned graduating and 'carrying on a normal life' which I have no idea why was so refreshing, It's like the other chapters were as if the students were stuck in this nightmare and couldn't escape. (⊙…⊙ ) It's refreshing to hear about the outside world. But I also love the delusional Caste too.
I read this manga quite a long time ago, but since recently I lost touch with it and didn't keep up with the updates. Does this manga hint at romance at all? Some people don't need romance, and thats fine, I just want to know this for personal reasons.
I don't need it to be that fluffy, but do they ever care for each other? Not as in embracing each other or confessing, but from where I read up to last time, they didn't really care at all about each other, they were basically just master/slave without any sort of a deeper relationship. Like do they get jealous, are they protective, does it ever break out of a one-sided forceful relationship? I don't imagine there being any declaration of "I love you" from either side, but does the uke (or seme) ever stop completely despising the other?

I think that here's a hint of what you can expect about them and their "twisted" care for each other. I do believe Karino has always been felt atracted to Azusa and what he did it was his way to monopolize him, to take him all for himself. I don't expect any love declarations either because it's not (till now) what this story is about, I believe it's a interesting view of certain kind of relationship, certain kind of love.
I think it's more like going forward and backward with them. In that chapter it seemed that things were getting to a next level but the next chapter Karino kind of rejected him (Azusa went to his house to give something Kuze was sending to Karino and he told him practically fuck off, I don't want you here). And then Azusa is plotting revenge but things aren't going his way (Karino is always winning)... but anyway, I think you should give a shot with the story because no matter what could happen later, it's interesting their dynamic. I think that in some point, the story is going to turn to "romantic" (in its possible kind of way).

Even to me, who isn't so much of a lover for dark and twisted things, Haradas stories are good, so despite being sensitive to the twisted scenes that fuck with my head, I read them anyway.
But is there anyone who's read all (or most) of her work that can tell me the most messed up story she's made? I recently fell in love with Harada's "Yoru to Asa no Uta" but chapter 5 fucked up my mind big time. (Anyone who's read it should know which scene I'm talking about)
I stayed up for hours and that scene was still replaying in my head and I almost felt like I was going insane. I love Haradas stories though, I just want to get a warning so I know to be careful.
But I just wanna say something. Before that, lemme clarify It is completely fine for Harada to use that torture scene in her story because it’s used to make an extreme effect (like it did on me), and it’s not saying torture is acceptable or any other kind of justification,
but I’ve seen more than one comment here.. along the lines of “Asaichi deserved it.” and I’ll use this opportunity to tell anyone who thinks in the same way, first that I hope they would never, ever think in that fashion if this were real life. No, even if it is fiction, that line of thought is dangerous enough.
Nobody, I repeat /nobody/ for the purposes of revenge, punishment, or establishing fear, should ever be subject to something as inhumane as torture. Nobody deserves torture. Torture is going beyond death. There is no ethical purpose to torture. Not even a serial killer or rapist deserves torture.
You are absolutely right... To be honest I was really shocked that there are so many people thinking that Asaichi 'got what he deserved'. It's not even an eye for an eye, it's just an inhuman treatment. It's not without reason that laws of democratic countries prevent using torture and rape as a form of a punishment. 'Yoru To Asa No Uta' is just a fictional story, but I believe that in this case people's reactions reflect their views in a real life.
Hmm for the sake of intellectual discussion I would have to disagree on that. But first Im just gonna say I havent read this one yet cause from the looks of it I wouldnt like this type of manga, but I did read the extra and general comments so I have an idea on whats going on.
That being the case torture isnt something that should be avoided, hell its not even inhuman in my opinion. In a sense torture is a form of extreme punishment so i dont see whats wrong with it.
Go search up on google "Is torture ever justified?" The only time it is /arguably/ justified is when they need to obtain serious information from terrorists on behalf of other people's lives. (Nowadays the torture method we use for this purpose is waterboarding.) Torture should not be used for punishment because there is nothing ethical about it. We put dangerous people behind bars or put them to death sentence. That is serves the purpose and is enough. Some people may even argue the death sentence should not be used because there are many stories of people who were put to the death sentence and were eventually revealed innocent. Take a moment to realise how bad that person must have felt. It would make you go insane. There is no need to torture them. Have you seen the way they used to torture people?
There's a reason we have stopped doing that. Growing bamboo through someone's body, making people stand on top of fire and have their legs burn before their very eyes, please tell me how that is not inhuman? Torture used for punishment or retribution is pure sadism. There is no justice in it. And you know how crimes are these days, people are often misunderstood or framed. To put someone innocent through such a horrible experience such as torture, I don't think you understand how heavy torture is. It's a form to make people suffer. Which is unreasonable.
There is always a chance that the person experiencing torture may be innocent. There is almost no way to know for certainty that they are NOT innocent. In the case of waterboarding, how do you think this would play out? Waterboarding is used to force information out of victims. Basically, the torture will not stop unless you confess. What is the person was innocent? They’d have to lie about doing bad things they haven’t done just to make the torture stop. That is one reason why we should never use torture. I could keep going, but I don’t need to be the one to explain it. I used the case of innocent people to more effectively explain it, but even people who have done crimes do not deserve torture.
Totally agree with you.
Although I felt an impact to the 5th chapter, the comments were even worse. The fact that anyone can see a fictional scenario where someone gets kidnapped, beaten up, raped, almost permanently crippled, and forced to drink someone's piss in order to avoid being crippled and think "Well, they deserved it", is absolutely disturbing. It borders the line of sociopathy.
But then again, I like Harada works because of the fact it shows accurately how some people can be twisted in such away to think something like this is acceptable, even the readers of her stories.
I read one other story about a fat uke before that was really cute, but never saw him have sex so this is the first time I'm seeing a fat uke in an ero-scene and shit is hot. Those soft boobies... ngh.
What's the other one!!

It updated and its got a sex scene in the extra chapter, but the uke turned skinny...
It's really good though! :D
