I think if you separate the Cassette player and Cassette tape it will be easier to understand. Keep in your mind that the concept of the game is to have the player explore the new locations (open new map) and each map have one save points.

Save point = Cassette player = one save point per map, This is simple.
to saving the progress you have to insert the cassette tape and PLAY.
The saving has 2 functions, save the memory and the map.
The cassette player are not binding to any tapes therefore you can remove another character’s tape and replace with your own.

What people seem to confused is how the “Cassette Tape” works not the cassette player or save points.

The cassette tape work like an ID card, you can use any cassette player to save your progress, but not all the cassette tape belongs to you. If you insert another character’s tape it’s their save point. (Like when Bada insert Yongteak’s black tape)

BUT this ID card aka cassette tape can be overwritten aka other people can steal your tapes and erased your progress then replace with their progress and use it as a save point item for them

The problem is, they are not enough cassette player for all tapes. They already found 4 cassette players but there are already 6 tapes (including 2 cassette tapes that Doha carried with him in chapter 31) . It’s implied that not all of 6 members can become players in the same round.

Now I think if you guys reread hiatus chapters with the game concept in mind (explore new map and save) and separate cassette players and tapes it will easier to understand.

Bonus, they’re 6 members in the group, 6 Cassette tapes has been found.
6 tapes including Bada 1 Doha 1 Sungchan 1 (the one with check mark) Yongteak 2 (black and white tape with “END END END” written on) and yellow 1 (I can’t remember the owner name) . And remember the Tape can be stealth and NPC can become player.

Things that I remember:

Majority of the story takes place in their adulthood when they come together to work and we just get few flashes of past from time to time to show how and when junior fell for the senior.
Junior guy - Had deep violet hair(as an adult), happy public persona but sad and lonely eyes Senior guy- black hair, also toned built (not buff), aloof personality and facial experience.

It's not shounen-ai with adventure, but the opposite, it's a common adventure story, but the MC like men. Imagine One Piece, but Luffy is into the rest is the same, a regular shounen.
Anything like kyou Kara maou or silver diamond, maybe? Or "it's subtext but it's way too in your face with verbal confirmation" like Owari no Seraph

what is that story wherein they fought due to the top being insensitive to the bottom's feelings. They fought because the top was straight and the bottom was having like insecurities because of it if i'm not wrong. Then the top got jealous at the same time which is why he is angry at the bottom.
