I think the Uke and the Seme shouldn’t be together. A few people in the comments are coming to the Uke’s defense but when they do start officially dating and he needs to cope with his problems will it still be okay? His coping methods is not only hurting him but those around him. It looks like all he thinks about is himself. Please don’t justify this behavior it’s not healthy. This kids need therapy more than anything.

As a person who has abandonment issues this IS how I am. I can't help it, I run whenever someone gets too close. Is it right? No. Do I know that? Yes. Will I stop? Probably not anytime soon.
If this is how you cope that’s fine, i just want you to know your choices have consequences. You’re not only hurting yourself but those around you. You’re valid to feel how you want but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re hurting others.
