I’ve never really had an opinion on this, I just take it as it is but you’re completely right. They like to switch up and put on their holier than thou act when it suits them. It gets tiresome when they’re so caught up judging the characters for their choices when they haven’t even considered WHY the character made them. Granted that some characters are just stupid and make the wrong choices, but the MC hasn’t done anything wrong in my eyes. He put a clear line between him and the dog when he got into the relationship so it’s not like he’s two timing. He never wanted a relationship from the dog anyway, it was just the dogs selfishness that put them in their sex friends situation and the MCs fickleness.
It's the holier than thou and i wouldn't make a stupid decision kind of attitude that i really dislike. They don't even bother putting themselves in a characters shoes amd just act like they could do so much better.
