To be honest, my first impression of him was exactly that, a man-slut so I didn't like him at first. His looks is of that cliche fuckboi. But now, as the story progressed, he's one of my favorite seme. He's definitely just a jolly, kind, himbo type. He's too caring and thoughtful to be just some man-slut douchebag really.
As for the "Your the one I like the most right now" it could honestly be interpreted as he is his currently most liked person because he also like his friends. But for him right now, the uke is his most beloved, even more so than his friends.
I don't really see him just using the uke. I mean it was very clear he's desperate and needed the money and yet when he saw the uke being able to create pearls, he didn't question about it any further. We don't see him having any interests to those pearls or the uke's ability to create them. He didn't even bother asking for one of the pearls.
In conclusion, I think you severely misunderstood him.
I feel like it goes both ways. The seme wants him for the pearls so he can find money, but the uke wants him for gratification so he can pay off his debt. They’re both using each other for their own benefits and getting feelings into the mix. Both have their own issues, and the seme isn’t stupid or a “himbo” as someone phrased it, he just knows he looks good and so he uses that to his advantage.
Nothing wrong w being a manwhore, at least he’s respectful and kind. I mean we don’t know exactly what he thinks of Juha and his pearls but he hasn’t stolen them or anything. Plus he has protected Juha and seems to care for him quite a lot. I don’t see how u could dislike one of the main characters of this story and continue to read it...
Seriously though, I'm honestly baffled by this criticism. This type of criticism is more befitting for characters like Minhyuk (Legs That Don't Work) but even then I see none of this type of criticism towards him. So again, I'm so baffled by this criticism towards Doosik. Is there perhaps a personal bias in play with this?

huh not really he never knew about the pearls in the first place and still helped juha. i think he already caught feelings for him before knowing about the pearls. and ALSO he's not that smart (but in a good way) so he wouldn't think about using juha for pearls. another one, that flashback. it looked like someone used betrayed and used him for money in the past. i don't think he would do the same.

I mean another example is how he takes care of that blonde friend of his. That blonde is annoying but he's still so accommodating with him. When that blondy was attacked by a customer he scammed, Doosik stepped in to help him. He gave the angry customer his money so that he would leave his blond friend alone.
