I just realised why I couldn't read past 2-3 chapters.
The guideverse began as a fulfillment genre for gay couples that we strongly support.
We see similar parallels in the creation of soulmate genre for cis hetero couples.
Both are romance genres for female audiences but have different fulfillment goals.
The hetero combo in a guideverse is deeply unsatisfying for me a reader. Females like this who play the role of "nurterers" once again is just conforming to the patriarchal expectation.
I genuinely think that authors should either make the woman a powerful esper & the male partner a guide. This the only way this combination can work in guideverse! Otherwise this is another manga where woman use patriarchal tools acceptable for the female gender like coaxing, manipulating, nurturing etc.
I literally feel a nausea in my body from this unending patriarchal expectation of the female body :(
At some point the loserness of this mc begins to grate on ur nerves, after all it's is chapter 21 & he always waits till it's few seconds left on his super strength before he takes action. This is not suspenseful at all, if that's what the author was going for. It's is stupidity. You would take major action against monsters coz u know it might not work, so u have to try again.
I am not surprised that there are no readers for this manga. I just completed till chapter 45 & it's been clear that this mc is not meant to be one. He is a complete noob character who should've been a support character. And yes, I mean his character.
He lacks the flexibility of mind to think out of the box, he dismisses ideas given by those superior in thought to him without any logical justification & most importantly, it just feels like a mediocrity armed with fancy system & skills & stats. But see, a pig is still a pig even if you dress it is diamonds. The essence remains the same. This mc is like that.
The art is even worse with its more AI-generated expressions that feels so odd here.
My review:
This manga is interesting. Only one element will disappoint the readers
Art style is extremely amateur & it makes the fight scenes amateur.
The mc isn't particularly strong & the fights which should be decisive is not. He drags it on & like yawns. It doesn't matter who your opponent is, it always better to have an mc who has humility. This one has none
This is one of those uke mcs that I just abhor. Even an obsessive top can be rejected, ignored & evaded skillfully. But useless uke just pretends to protest & escape when he in reality he was dying to be isekaied into a manga where a handsome obsessive top like this would fuck him non -stop!

The concept is good & seems interesting even though it's like any other game-screen type reality manga.
The only problem--the mc's monologues & the fact that half of each chapters is always about his panels. Seems the artist can cut short these elements because it's been too much. Like in the middle of the fight or arena, he ponders like a poet over his traits esp when there is a time constraint or enemy right next to him. Extremely irritating & u realistic
The king is unconscious from prolonged poisoning. And instead of consolidating tye crown prince position with high security, the author creates a romantic rendezvous with another noble lord incognito where an assassination is happening.
Honestly speaking, with this level of idiocy, the queen should die, the crown prince should die, the yuwen family should die, mc should go back to his own world. Let that imposter 4th prince become the king, because their is the only side that earned it. I have had it with this manga
This has to be the most stupid chapter ever written!
"Save me Yuwen Jing!" It seems. This consort just became the obstacle in all the plans. If he wasn't part of this scene, everything would've worked out
Some things stood out to me while reading thus...
1. The main guide is over 200 years but maintains a DNA age of 20 years or so.
2. His sentinel knows that his guide doesn't find him enough because of those 200 years of memories
WHAT I FIND SORROWFUL:
the guide himself doesn't remember his past. He also has no interest in finding out.
But the worst part is his mind is filled with sentinels who like the ml sentinel & they are all buried in his memories as nameless bodies.
One of them warns the ml to avoid the guide so that he doesn't become one of those bodies.
