Girl, chill, that's how their culture is. Don't forget Lucia was being abused for years before she escaped. She still has trauma over it. And pleaseeeee, this is not a webtoon (novel) about a girl who super-smart doing business and became influential, she is just some normal girl who doesn't want to die and live her life happily (and in her mind, happy life is where she is not beaten by her husband or being forced to join social gathering against her own will).

It's a genuine critique of the unhealthy relationship dynamic displayed here. And it's applicable to ALL genders, not just girls???? That's just basic human rights.

Well sorry about that, maybe other comment about Lucia should go out making business like “other female lead” kinda get into me.
However, I still don’t think Lucia action is wrong. When you see their relationship as lover real husband and wife than yes, Lucia doesn’t have to do that (but doesn’t have is not equal to shouldn’t, or at least in my language). But their relationship was a contract from the start, where Hue was the boss (at least that was Lucia thought). The life Lucia has now is what Hue given to her (she literally was bought by Hue), she makes her own effort too but come on, as someone who has suffered from years of abuse, she wouldn’t put herself too high and believes she deserve everything she has now.
This is why I always said webtoon often does not give justice to novel. In the novel, Lucia was very careful with her action as she was prepared to leave at anytime Hue were not satisfied with her being his contract wife. She believes everything Hue given to her now was previously belong to someone else, she “stole” from them to protect herself so she have to be prepared to return them at anytime (she never asked for gifts, never buying anything, never use the money for herself). She asking permission from Hue were not the sign of toxic relationship (because there wasn’t relationship between them except from the contract) but it’s more like she is trying to figure out where is his limit and how far she can go with her action. They aren’t even in love with each other yet (at least not notice yet). They just respecting each other as partner in a business deal where Lucia was the weaker one because she doesn’t have power and wealth like Hue.

Totally agreed 100%. Idk what the author is thinking. But this is yet another “oh I’ll never fall in love with him” manga & 2 chapters later she is drooling and mooning over him! N lol let’s not forget her “magical vagina”, which has literally “captivated” the ML bwahaha!!!
