Just finished till chapter 25. This manga had me excited at first-necromancer & all.
A 14 year old mc who looks like in his 20s becomes the next duke. But for some reason, there is no succession ceremony & none of his vassals refer to him as "your grace". His subjects don't know who he is.
After taking up the mantle of a Duke, he joins "an adventure guild" to pay off 5 billion gold debt. I genuinely feel that's a bit high school gamer type. The author also makes the pol. environment such that Marbas Duchy (for some reason the manga keeps referring to it as "estate") cannot even collect reparations from Sylvesters.
The logical solution should be to just invade Slyvesters & just rob them blind.
But now a 14 year old mc just wants to go an adventure, even though he as the next duke cannot do that considering his position.
Unfortunately, the logical solution is impossible since the crown prince will have a reason to execute Lyon and get rid of a thorn who has the potential to oppose Baal, the demon King. Besides, he literally can't run the Duchy without some quick way to earn money.
Also, he can still somewhat operate the Duchy while doing his adventures since he can have messengers or magic devices deliver all the paperwork and reports of crucial situations back and forth. He can also have his subordinates like the butler manage things while he is away.
Omg! You are proving my point. Why did the author choose such a route? I repeat again--it is complete teenager gamer move! Literally anything would've been better--discovered mines, pol. moves to get the compensation from Slyvestors etc
The way aristocracy works, not even the king can take unconditional actions against nobility. They unite, some may be royal faction, but the most powerful will never be fully on the side on the royals.
Because an illegitimate action like the one you are suggesting where the Prince will execute Lyon ---cannot happen without the royals incurring the wrath of the entire aristocracy. Why?
Because it's not the French Revolution, one cannot willy-nilly execute high nobles, not even pathetic ones like Lyon. The aristocracy will assume that they are next & it's creating ripe environment for rebellion. And no serving royal will do that logically.
Royalty is not God. Aristocracy & royalty are in a social contract. If one side cannot fulfill it, the whole foundation of the empire of the kingdom would collapse. If and only if royalty can co-opt aristocracy in finance, governance & security, then only royalty can flourish. Otherwise no chance
This mc does not look 14. Its not about the body shape or size or even looks. Its that assured manner of speaking, those expressions, that horrid hairstyle... like all of it. He looks like someone in his 20s
From this 1st duel of mages, I got an idea about what kind of manga this us going to be. Mc talked big that he will end it fast but they've exchanged so many moves & the Battle is still not done
(⊙…⊙ ) all he is doing is posturing :(. Mc is going to win for sure but after how many moves showing off. This is the 1st match, it would've been better if it ended in 1 move to show how powerful Mc had gotten. Battles should've been lo ger in finals
This is the best wholesome action cum fantasy manga!!! So glad that a male mc is not "soloing" in a quest of fulfilling his ego! This is how people would be, having families & such like. And certainly not turning back time & taking away other people's abilities just for the male mc to be the "sole hero of the world"
Okay hear me out! I feel like our mc's little goat has still not matured. If it becomes a big goat with huge ram horns--then maybe pur mc will permanently become an S-Class.
I think that there 2 leopard/panther brothers bonded with him so their class was downgraded. Perhaps when mc goes through permanent S-Class level, they will also become S-Classes as a second awakening???

It's so annoying that the rookie physician is either a rejuvenated divine physician or even the disciples of the divine physician! And not once did the mc think to ask him, "wtf is your master???" So fucking annoying. I hate clichés like this.
