this is probably the first bl webtoon where I wish there was NO side story. if the author wanted to do smut, they could've just done THAT without the half-baked drama.

one of my fav shounen ai webtoons going to shit... I'm gonna pretend the side story doesn't exist so it won't be too disappointing

I mentioned this on another socmed site: I'm lowkey disappointed in Daehyung's mindset. why would you enter a relationship already expecting it to end? it's very disrespectful to your partner and shows you have stuff you need to work on. I'm guessing we'll see more of Daehyung's past and how he became that way.

although it is true that relationships are not guaranteed to last forever, this should compel you all the more to cultivate your love for each other, and make the most of the short, precious time you have in this life. why be nihilistic when you can CHOOSE to love, to trust, to experience joy? I'd rather spend my lifetime giving and receiving love whenever I can.

I'm reminded of a scene from the film Everything Everywhere All At Once:

Joy Wang (daughter): "So what? You're just gonna ignore everything else? You could be anything, anywhere. Why not go somewhere where your daughter is more than just this? Here, all we get are a few specks of time where any of this actually makes any sense."

Evelyn Wang (mother): "Then I will cherish these few specks of time."

praying this stalker gets apprehended right away and the author doesn't drag out the process of him getting caught. would be nice to see him get beat to a pulp too

I love how the art style is consistently beautiful from start to finish!

I wish it was longer, but I appreciate the mangaka knowing when to end the story instead of dragging it out.

Wish we had some extras though, like them going on another date (it was literally asking to be illustrated!!!) or a scene where they tie the knot with a private yakuza ceremony (if that's a thing) and end it with some delicious love-making lasting several days

EDIT: This is too good, I wanna ramble a bit more on what I loved about it

Kiyotaka being a softie but NOT a doormat was so nice to see! I loved how he didn't go the "If you love me, you should stop k!lling people" route, or the "Why can't you tell me everything!?" route with Tenju (cough cough, looking at you Dangerous Convenience Store). he understands the yakuza life is complex, but he doesn't give Tenju a sermon on why k!lling is bad, nor does he turn irrational about Tenju's boundaries. Kiyotaka and Tenju opened up to each other once they were comfortable, not cuz they guilt-tripped each other into doing so

Mishima-sensei is such a DILF my goodness... he's officially my husband btw

all the people here are beautifully drawn, even the elderly patients were drawn with care! I'll try to find the mangaka's socials to keep up with their works

this is one of the few BL webtoons that actually NEEDS longer s*x scenes. where are the side stories with all smut, all fluff, no plot? I'm not asking for much, 3 side story chapters would be good...

I love the short read since there's less chances for the author to drag out the conflict arc, but damn, they really rushed the physical intimacy development between Inha and Sun-woong. it felt like their inner dialogues took precedence (which is totally NOT a bad thing!) while they were going to pound town, and the f*cking was more of a background noise.

I wish it was more balanced cuz genuine love can also be expressed through good s*x (asexuality aside), especially for a webtoon that aims to portray consensual masochism as a normal sexual preference that no one should be ashamed of.

this might as well have been R15 if they really wanted to focus on the thought processes, and just added more hanging out and dating scenes where Inha and Sun-woong open up and get comfortable with each other.

still loved this though!

Mugyeong is STILL not communicating after 7 years... you'd think he'd try to understand Yohan more, but so far it seems like Yohan's always the one giving, adjusting, and apologizing. a relationship is supposed to involve TWO people (polyamory aside). love is supposed to keep growing from the care and effort put in by BOTH partners.

last time if I remember correctly, Mugyeong mentioned his love grows slower and is less intense compared to Yohan's. I wonder what Mugyeong's excuse is gonna be this time. @Yohan if that boy always makes you cry, you're dating an onion!

I hope everyone reading this webtoon remembers to never settle for less, you deserve someone who loves you just as much as you love them.

I wish this story was illustrated with the typical manga panel arrangement, instead of scrolling panel by panel. it's a bit distracting to follow at times, especially when the story is starting to get narration-heavy with characters sharing their thought processes and all that

I like how Seiichirou doesn't let his emotions get the best of him, especially with Aresh having feelings for him despite their difference in social status not allowing them to be together (for now).

I really HATE reading fantasy/royalty BL stories where the uke is consistently "I can't be with you cuz it will lead to the demise of the entire kingdom!" bullshit especially when the seme has some leverage to make sure that doesn't happen *cough cough* King's Maker *cough cough*

it's also nice to see the plot NOT overshadow the romantic development between the main leads. this manga balances romance with adventure really well, at least with where the story is right now (Vol 4)

anyways, I'm excited to see how this story plays out ^^ I really hope mangaka-sama doesn't drag it out by doing too many conflict arcs and forgetting to work on the romance aspect of the manga...
