Spoiler:
I would first like to clarify that what I've written may not be true and what I've read could be a theory to make the story more interesting. (I haven't read the novel either). Also, I read this forever ago so it's probably even more untrue.
So I read somewhere that Jeanette, in the og book/novel, dabbled with black magic to go back in time, or rather, reset the story. She did this cause Athy was framed for poisoning her and was killed by Claude, since he favoured Jeanette.
Later everyone found out that it wasn't Athy who tried to poison Jeanette, so depressed Jeanette felt sorry for Athy (of course Claude didn't care), turned back time, with her inherited black magic, and wished for Athy to be loved in this new life.
As a consequence, Jeanette would lose her memories and become poison for Claude (though I guess it was hidden by confusing Claude to think he was getting relief from being with Jeanette, despite her damaging his body).
It was also said that in the og novel, Diana and Claude disliked each other. I think Diana had a Athy with Claude and named her Athanasia (usually only named if heir to the throne) as a way to mock Claude, as he can't become Emperor, of course due to Anastacius already being heir to the throne.
Basically, Jeanette using black magic to reset the story and wishing for Athy to having a loving family, caused Claude's fake memories of love with Diana.
Also, the reason why Claude died in the past was cause he stayed too long with Jeanette even when he found out that she was doing harm to his body. Uhhh, he loved her too much.
Btw, Jeanette and Ijekiel were happily together, until Ijikiel saw Athy ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I think he did despite everything he still kept Penelope's portrait in his room and in the og story he accepted jeannete knowing she wasn't his own daughter (i think this is because he loved Penelope too much, instead of loving his own daughter (Athanasia) he loved Jeannete instead) friggin sad for Claud and Athanasia
I don't really understand this at all.. like, at first I was ok with Hari and Eugene, and even shipped them together, but now I... I feel uncomfortable. Maybe it's because they'd have to overcome a lot of hurdles and challenges to be together, which I'm getting anxious about, or maybe how Eugene's feelings are hurting him, but I'm feeling creeped out.
Honestly though, I was e~ver so slightly hoping that Mr mystery Knight (Hari's Knight) was the ML. And I really wanna know who he is and why everyone acts strange around him. Spoilers are always welcome. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I totally agree. I went into this reading the comments saying it was giving dodgy vibes off the relationship but I said as long as they aren’t blood related I’d be fine with it but as I kept reading I kept getting more uncomfortable...idk maybe I started to see them as siblings with how much the family aspect is emphasised throughout ( ̄∇ ̄") getting very uncomfy with the whole situation
Yeah, you know, just having 3 children die and then 1 being killed by the person you're living with is no big deal. ლ(´ڡ`ლ) Like she's totally stepping out of line. She's way too mean.
Honestly, tf??? Yes, OK. He didn't kill her child, but she doesn't know that. What do you expect a mother to do, when she lives with the person she thinks killed her child?
I dunno, maybe just have some tea and some biscuits, ya know? Then try to fix their misunderstandings. Yup, mhm, thats the way to do it. Not like the mother would be angry, she's sure to be VERY rational when dealing with a killer. Pfft
I have a feeling that the Duke (or whatever he is) that is friends with Queen (the bird emperor, can't remember his name) is helping Queen marry Navier. Like this "plan" of theirs was to somehow get Navier divorced and have Queen swoop in (pun intended) to save her.
Either way, I don't like the Duke guy and I may just be overthinking.
And honest to God, but the emperor Sovishu or whatever (well, and Trashta) is so unbelievably delusional. Like what makes him think, in that little incompetent mind of his, that Navier will wait TWO WHOLE YEARS for a person who would discard her and only believe in a TRASHY B**** rather than someone he's been breathing the same oxygen with, for like.... FOREVER?!?!?!
*Queen is the name I got from Webtoon so I'm not sure if they're the same since I started reading it on here at ch. 49.*
Adele's "family" kinda reminds me of Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess. BUT don't get me wrong, I am not at all saying that they're the same.
Also, why're people saying she's weak? Like she talked back to the brother and father, right? I mean, she may not have had a full on "know your place" moment, but she still said something - unlike her past self.
Don't forget she's still recovering from the abuse that she went through since birth. Like, she didn't exactly start her life nicely... And her reincarnation can't be an excuse to suddenly become an omnipotent, demon slaying God.
Honestly, this is a good story and a break from the badass reincarnated villainous Goddesses (though i still prefer them).
First I just wanted to say that the guy she picked as a partner would've been my last option... not that anyone cares ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
And second, i seriously can't tell who's the villain, the antagonists in the manhwa or the artist??? Like stop making the evil characters freaking good-looking!!! like I'm literally doubting whether I've any morals fjekwbdixmskdif. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
...though seaweed head rumour boi is a hArD pass ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
