I think he probably dyed them at that age but later stoped. with his hair golden hair he stood out and japanese schools are very strict with dying hair (non black) so maybe he was feared as delinquent or more likely a foreigner (because his golden eyes as well) so he did it in attempt to fit it. later, as he got older he most likely met people who accepted him for who he was and stopped dying his hair. maybe even aoi had a role in that.
but that is just my guess ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Ashiya could have been dying his hair and his roots grew out. (even if that is just Aoi transformed into Ashiya, it still shows what Ashiya looked like.)

Is aoi also have blond hair n gold eyes ? Cause from what i see his eyes werent gold colour hmmm probally he wears contact(?)

I was looking at that. His eyes look so dead. But then again, Abeno said that Yahiko showed him an Ashiya (Sakae) with "empty eyes". http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/fukigen_na_mononokean/mf/v06/c051/9/ But, that could just mean that Yahiko didn't even care enough to GIVE Sakae eyes (because Sakae never played with him). BUT, I brought it up because I have this feeling that its important. I could be interpreting it wrong, but I don't think Yahiko would just partially transform, or do it sloppily. Especially when he'd just refuse if he didn't want to do it. And plus, he likes Abeno since Abeno plays with him a lot.
((But on the other hand, that doesn't mean his transformation would be accurate. He didnt even know Sakae's name, and they only met once.))
So we would think that Aoi would get the transformation right for sure, especially since they were together often. Then again, we're not even sure if that is Aoi doing a transformation or Sakae himself. But Mom def said Sakae had golden hair and eyes, sooo... He could be wearing contacts, it could be Yahiko and Aoi doing a crappy transformation, or it could be something more serious. Dunno, honestly, it's all just speculation.

so true i thought maybe the guy yahiko transformed to was not sakae but after seeing (aoi probably transformed as sakae that was recognized as sakae by his family it has to be him but i don't think that's all there is to sakae first would aoi draw such a picture on the day his employe died ? and why would he even have a human employed and how did he die? where is the body ? and why did the legislative react to the name ashiya if they never know there was a human working for the mononokean and i think he would remember if the name ashiya was connected to the mononokean after so many cases ? and the strict look after the mononokean ?
seriously it would make more sense if sakae was still alive in the underworld like i don't know getting cursed and not able to go home or memory lose because I am not happy with this story about sakae it was a mystery so long it would be stupid if that's all :D and it gives us no real info what is the case with ashiya and his power and this coincident about both ending up to work for the mononokean? and maybe i missed it but why did aoi die? and why would he transform into sakae and be able to tell the family apar it's weird enough he know where ashiya was :D soo many questions for soo many wanted chapters KNOW

I think he won't do such a thing he is one of those guys that wants to have everything under their control
