That’s exactly it. In the novel she discovered that quickly and literally tried to kill herself in front of him… poor MC is traumatized.
Also, her only way of “running away” from her life is impossible which makes everything just more tragic for her… she asks him to let her go and runs away. Go girl!
To find her he will then kill himself to switch places…
Lots of suicides. I hope the manga will portray the angst correctly and not take a too light path ;/
