I haven't seen the full spoilers but my guess from the few hints for novel readers is that eclis gets super obsessed with penelope so he found the yvonne to bring her back to her family, her family leaves penelope, and he has her to himself just my guess AND THATS SUCH A BITCH MOVE HOPE YOU EAT ROCKS ECLIS
