This story understands how to drive human emotions through words and pictures. In every chapter that I read, I felt like I had a better understanding of each character. Although it can be frustrating to read when the MC is slow to fall in love with the person you want, that is what makes this story phenomenal. The author took care in writing it and didn't rush it, which is something I greatly appreciate. The story doesn't end with you being lost or angry at any character, but sad for them. You have grown to understand their motivations and know why they did the things that they did. Yes it's sad, and yes I'm sure you'll be likely to cry, but that isn't a downfall of the story. Not every romance story that you're going to read is going to be sunshine and rainbows. It's pieced together real-life hardships of illness, affairs, and the dynamics in different relationships. The ending concluded it in such a way that left me depressed, yet complete. I haven't read any type of sad story that has done something as beautiful as this.
