Oh my gosh!!!! I had a similar experience!!! It was so creepy. My ex best friend liked to hook me up with her ditched goods. (Incidentally this is how I met my husband but shhh) One of the guys she pawned off on me, after our first date was talking about kids and marriage. Two weeks after our first date he convinced my friend's little sister to get my ring size. (I was closer at this point to the little sister) and then the friend emergency calls me telling me he intended to propose. I lived with five others at the time. Four of them were out, the fifth one in the bathroom. I was in a panic mode. When i shouted what do I do, roommate shouted Break up with him! So I did!
Later this roommate and I were sharing the story with the rest of the roommates, and he has the nerve to call me. So I flung my phone across the kitchen, and just to spite me, the phone opens so someone has to answer it. Another roommate picks it up and does the whole can't come to the phone right now. So he tells my ROOMMATE to say that he is sorry and that he would still like to date me, and that we don't have to get engaged. My roommates and I just stared blankly...
