Hmm.. I don't really like how the main couple played out. I felt like Evan was forced to do something he didn't like ,being handcuffed and all. but will willingly do it because he likes Chris.. .__. Like I don't know , I just feel like the relationship seems very forced to me. I mean I understand Chris has a traumatic past but still I feel like he shouldn't force his new partner to do this type of thing. He should move on but seems like he likes it somemore. Oh lords. I kennot . Maybe it's just not for me. I don't like S&M foreplay. But on the other hand Andy and martin (≧▽≦) me likey~ I like this couple more ~
The bottom uke Chris is abusive, because of his traumatic past, and I agree with you. He really shouldn't take it out on Evan. I won't feel to bad if Evan decides to leave him for someone nicer.

I read until chap 19 and stopped. The MC is annoying me with her pathetic whining and complaining and all sorts of things. So annoying. ಠ益ಠ when there were guards she complained about having an escort. Now there are no guards and she don't know how to use her elemental spirit she is whining again. Feel bad for the spirits to have an owner like her (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
That's the usual korean story telling MO, though I haven't read the novel source (if it has any) to really say it is. They usually start really unlikeable, touristy like, normal people without any motivations other than their own shallow ambitions.
Then we get to the middle part where plot devices push the mc for a grander ambition and some maturity.
So far she is getting there IMO.
I agree though that the way she abuses her spirit trash just like your normal everyday OPMC who always gets what he wants and only treats well the people who kowtow to her is getting to my nerves.
I guess I kinda prefer strong female leads that have their own personality and figure out things and finding their own way to live in the world. But this ... She is like just ...(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ She just want to laze around don't want to study , don't want to learn more about the world no motivation just want the easy way out lol. I mean she died her past life studying so now she wants to be a lazy ass when she has such great power. And the way she treat spirits she looks down on them and then when she don't know how to use them or her Mana is not enough she blames them . Omg I don't even want to compare her to other OP female leads. This is just like some whiny pathetic lazy female lead. Her personality sucks too . (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ I couldn't continue . Finding their own way to live in the world meaning like helping people or helping the country or have some purpose in life. Not laze around not studying , choosing the easy way out , even when she had a teacher she didn't like it . Having an escort she didn't like it too. She don't know how to use her spirit she didn't ask , didn't learn anything but just expects her spirit to do some magical shit out of nowhere. Then blames them when they don't . Lack of Mana also she blames them. I don't see any personality or logic in that. I just see trash ಠωಠ

In early chapter she already said that she want to laze around do nothing and correct me if i wrong but is not they called mc genius? She reincrinated person no some babies without knowledge, she already know about the empire and her kingdom that why she explain to US. As far as i read she doesn't not blame her spirit at all, she always said that when her mana expanded she can do more and bla bla bla. She just complaining about rai even he is ancient spirit he doesn't have any magic like undine except possess a corpse that why she called he useless. Well i recommend you to continue for the character development, some spoiler after she loses, she trained for 9 years without contact with outside world and manage to make a contract with high tier water spirit.
