The scene of which depicted him being raped by his brother was deeply disturbing and hard to read. While I understand his dialogue was crucial for plot development, highlighting his resistance and revulsion, I still found it incredibly difficult to read. Though I've encountered worse stories that romanticize such sexual violence, I believe a more nuanced and less explicit approach would have served the narrative better.
There was a jarring disconnect between the brother's actions and his artistic representation. The soft, blushing lustful expression portrayal undermined the severity of the assault. It’s rather sanitised. A more fitting approach would have been to depict him with a chilling, predatory expression—a shadowed face, almost monstrous visage-to reflect the true nature of his obsessive and violent actions.
