I feel like we still haven’t reach the era of wholesome BL… Writers and readers has always been normalising r4pe since the start of yaoi … a lot of 90s/00s yaoi stories include r4pe , but i do agree there is huge popularity rise for toxic storylines

have you read og BL because i think we read different stories girly, bl BEEN having rape, ESPECIALLY the old ones. it obviously still exists today, but you'd be hard pressed to find an old one that actually condemns it, aside from like, one or two, but those weren't even really romance stories.

Trust me I’ve read enough :) they’re plenty of wholesome ones but they’re not know as much as the toxic ones

mangas and manhuas are still in their wholesome era i think. its just manhwas

Manhuas are like that because of Chinese censorship(some don’t even show the kiss). I remember reading one where it was different angles of a kiss covered up by various furnitureΣ( ￣□￣||)
