sometimes the dialogues are quite cheesy or cringy. somehow i dont get similar chills that i get from solo leveling. still an overall ok read

solo leveling spoilers in my comment btw-
true. i still enjoy it, but it just... pales in comparison. i think it's also because he's not keeping any huge secrets, also we're pretty ignorant about the world. in solo leveling, once the groundwork was laid out, it wasn't all that hard to grasp how everything worked. so, when the main character (i don't want to spell it i think i'll do it wrong) in solo leveling constantly surpases what we believe to be the bar, we are impressed. we get shivers.
but in comparison i find that the groundwork for this story was confusing. us ourselves aren't tomb raiders and know nothing about tombs. we were just going along for the ride basically the entire time.
because in this story he could say "omg there's four relics in this tomb!" and i would think... okay. is that weird? haven't we seen that many already? why is that important? just because i don't know the limits to this world.
but in solo leveling, we see limits placed IMMEDIATELY. he's a low rank. he cannot grow stronger, he's obviously tried. he sees power in front of him, and comparatively, he is so weak he shakes. right there we see where he stands, where some of the greater power stands, and the distance between them (which is huge, and a gap we want to see him overcome). also, for example, when the red gate shows up, and i was almost screaming. I've seen so many gates now i understand it, but now a red gate?? what?? im intrigued. excited. i understand that red gates are not normal, because i understood the groundwork for the story in the first place.
sorry i just really love solo leveling and im constantly impressed by it, so i just also wanted to compare the two, because it's not just dialogue! it's really not that bad for tomb raider. solo leveling just overall is that much better

i also haven't read the novel yet! i'm sticking with the visuals since that is what i started with first. I don't want to spoil it for myself, but once the entire thing is out i'll go back and read the novel for sure. and obviously, the art is relatively good for both of the stories (somehow solo leveling just manages to feel better, but i'm not qualified enough to say). so the difference isn't in the art but the story itself. anyways, can't wait to read it. cannot wait for season 2.

makes it sound like only men cheats. then there's "male and female should be equal." ugh, can't even force myself to read this hypocrisy. please do correct me if i'm wrong ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I don't believe they've ever said The girl can't cheat....
It's just taking traditional Japanese / Chinese drama plots which often includes the guy cheating with a "better"woman but the girl always gets her revenge by hooking up with someone even better than her last man . That's always the case but I think she is actually putting the revenge in revenge making both the cheater and the woman he cheated with truly pay in one way or another. Both the woman and the man are equal and they both get equal punishment's

This is “cheating” men not all men.
The author included the female (transmigrated singer) who cheated with her feelings and wanted both men.
Yeah society should be uplifting each other but this is a drama pertaining to a cheating gender. The author is most likely female and can better state from her POV.
I can understand if you feel there should be more statements for both genders (if anyone cheats then they should go down) but I think the author better explains in a female POV.

I agree with what you're saying, that she mainly seems to focus the men, but if you look back on all of the stories she actually focuses on the men AND women that do the cheating. This is a fairly common theme in many Chinese comics, the cheating men are dicks and the girls they cheat with are bitches, and the one getting revenge makes them both pay.
not even once a day can stop this duke
