I think this happens a lot esp when the story gets big and famous so the author has to somehow keep making content and the original plot that was supposed to b like a direct plot, is now getting milked for all its worth to make money lol and tbh if it's well done it could b good but if not (which is what happens in most cases) it's just so annoying......
