I get that, but... the long lengthy positive comments that people write up (I do too) aren't ever reaching the author's ears either. yeah it's delusional to think that commenting about stuff u don't like is actually gonna change the authors mind about the story, but imo expressing ur dislikes, things u didnt like about smth, what couldve been done better, solely for the reason of getting it out of ur system & maybe even having a discussion about it w others isn't wrong.

I know that but it’s still fun to hate it pisses people I dislike off and that’s good enough for me

Like I said negative opinions are one thing but policing others isnt. Like I post criticism too but I draw the line when people shame readers, authors, or uploaders just because the story doesn't match their real life morals

(after writing this all up I realised I mightve lost the plot a bit, if u meant to ask people to stop *personally* attacking people (like going into their dms, sending messages to the author) for liking whatever they do in fiction, then I agree. but this isn't something only the moral police does, rape / shota fetishizers send death threats to users on here regularly js cuz they say they don't like a particular manhwa that contains rape).

wdym by policing others though. like if I say I find people who enjoy & defend everything happening in jinx weird, am I shaming them? I'm not going under their comments to reply to them, I'm js sharing my own opinion. I also find the authors weird for writing about rapists & then redeeming them, but im not going to personally send a message to them. then it gets a little weird I think.

also, the thing about children is true. I mean, I get it, it's a yaoi site, children shouldn't be here in the first place. but I litr started reading on here when I was maybe 13, & I read the weirdest most fucked up shit. & that only stopped cuz I was introduced to the forums where there was this one single particular user who would talk sense about how these shitty themes are actually *actually* harmful. again, these things are probably always gonna exist, but I think its a good thing for people to be vocal about the harmful themes. nobody's getting hurt from it, except for maybe rape / shota fetishisers.
