took a peak into the webnovel and the pacing for comic adaptions do tend to speed things up in comparison but looks like it was kind of like that already unless the light novel was faster.

There seems to be a fair amount of slimes in this story and surprisingly highly intelligent with only drawback of not being able to talk.
There seems to be 5 arcs and ongoing for the WN with the first comic chapter lining up with the first 4 chapters of the WN.
Most of the main cast seem to be on the older side with our MC+ML in their 30s, Zack 40s, Ruri 50s surprisingly.
Looks like Alec and Shiori become lovers fairly early on when looking at how they're already kissing by arc 2
This information on Shiori's backstory was more detailed in the Webnovel when they slightly go into her backstory.
When Shiori came over she really had to work hard to survive and really only became an adventurer because no one really wanted to hire/trust a foreigner and because of the adventurer aptitude test, that is where she discovered she could use magic even if it was pretty weak. She did tons of small jobs like easy collection quests and later chores for groups (like she does now) since she couldn't really battle and within a few months there were rumors of higher success rate with shiori and being able to travel comfy and not much longer from there, she joined akatsuki.
Zack had a crush on shiori but held back his feelings because of the incident with Akatsuki and Shiori.
Also seems like Shiori had a crush on him for some time as well but he turned her down.
Zack? and/or other people at the adventurer guild started noticing only shiori's equipment not being upgraded like the rest of Akatsuki and then for mission completion parties, she started becoming absent from them which became hot gossip.
She was still being payed for her part but the quest reports from akatsuki pretty much lowered her achievements and their group's progress was plateauing in terms of rank progression and when other groups started complaining that Akatsuki was monopolizing Shiori, others found out she was paying for more of the group's travel funds in order to make up for her "lack of contribution"(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
During one of Akatsuki's adventures, they came back without shiori and when Zack tried to probe them, they said they had to leave her behind only because they were also in danger which is one of the guild's rules where you can leave someone who is injured behind if your life is also in danger FFFF and then when zack was willing to go rescue her himself, they said the quest information was confidential due to the client ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ only after a few days after most had given up hope that she was alive did news of her return come with her being carried by Ruri.

it's been awhile since I last read the tl'd webnovel(?) but I don't remember ramor being curious about julie's book so I wonder if that'll have any fun consequences for them lol.
took a sneak peak into ch14+15 raw and skimmed through it with the little bit of translating I know and it otherwise matches the tl'd webnovel stuff I read up to julie and ramor getting slammed by the royalty so far though but I did kind of skip the queen's conversation so that's only part a bit unsure if any different and ahs been a bit since I last read.

yeah I figured he was too head over heals for julie before too but it's just I don't remember him actually noticing the book in the tl'd novel funny enough so that might have been something extra added just for the comic. planning to go back and re-read the novel soon since the comic is almost caught up to where I last read so It'll be fun to compare.

Allendis and Tia ship was kinda cute at first but those yandere vibes are dangerous haha. If he didn't want to tear Tia's love for her sweet father away, I MIGHT have been more ok with him being crazy but I favor how kind her father is over Tia's love life lol.
