Found out the mc was written as a dude in the original and then female before being isekai'd with the later adaptions.
I remember reading the TL version of the old WN as one of my first isekai stories and was wondering if the pacing was always so messy (cause all the different POVS) but wow does version make this look crammed.
I want to give them the benefit of a doubt that they needed to rush the plot but it feels like a couple of chunks being strung together here without the actual impact and impressions the original story gave.
If you're still interested in an MC becoming a magic otaku and cool/kickass for a bit until romance/plot related magic nerfing her then I'd still recommend reading the novel instead since its actually pretty entertaining. Maybe cause I'm too used to seeing stories where the mc becomes a wet noodle once lovey stuff gets involved but it was fine reading it when the plot started going that way and I guess it kind of makes sense as to why she needed to rely on more than just her own power bc plot but I still think the story when she was younger was more fun lol.

started with Mc being kind of a die hard stan who knows she could be easily seen as a cougar and has her own side hustle to fund her ventures was a bit odd and didnt help when she made that over-dramatic scene most of us were rolling our eyes at her for but now that she's questioning the actual plot things have gotten us actually on our feet looking for the clues lol
the comic release page says the updates have ended so we'll have to enjoy the juicy spoilers for the novel version instead

tbh I had some hopes as well but unfortunately after doing some digging about the "see you next spring" subject it was about the 2nd volume compilation of the chapters for the comic (it only had 1 volume released so far) with the unfortunately abrupt ending being the conclusion to the 2nd volume with maybe some extra stuff limited to the release if lucky.
The place that releases the chapters said end/finale while I think the author's thing said it was unfortunately discontinued if machine tl is correct so that's two extra nails on the coffin
this might be the 2nd yuri collection I'v read but the ones here seem a bit more along the lines of friendship than anything closer to a full on relationship like the 3rd chapter (Yay for consensual polygamy with a balance of love throughout the parties involved)
On the bright side, the prince in ch 3 and 5 looked reasonable and funny enough the one in ch 3 was really cute how jelly he looked that his fiance liked her best friend more to being happily married with his two wives and looking forward to bringing them gifts.

I literally came to comment about it, I just love how the ending was a poly relationship and the prince was absolutely okay in receiving his two wives and actually loving them and do his best for them!

Maria Loves the prince and Shion but knows she marrying the prince will make it hard to see Shion as the queen so unfortunately feels that she must choose only one of them ┗( T﹏T )┛
Prince Leon out of duty married Maria and in this timeline got to know her properly(thus more interested in her) and was introduced to Shion as her Adorable friend (maybe he had a slight interest early on like the initial scenario?) but with the Mc Shion's goal of staying neutral they all became friends but he later felt jealous of Maria's love for Shion and thus relented and felt the need to give up on his love to make his two friends happy （/TДT)/
Meanwhile poor Shion trying her best to just live peacefully held herself back because she grew so close to her best friend and just wanted her friend to be happy with the prince unlike the game scenario and they all became great friends up till near the main event we see take place and our Mc settles it easy with polygamy already being a thing in their kingdom.
There's potential for the whole polygamy thing to get messy like all those other stories about concubines/royal sidegirls/etc. BUT I'd like to believe that their kingdom is relatively peaceful enough and that these three are all close enough to trust in each other even if weird rumors started flying around so they can live a peaceful royal life togetherლ(´ڡ`ლ)
You summed it up perfectly, it was well handled in a sense that we can see they can all care for each other and have a healthy polyamorous relationship.
It was also added that the royal family and kingdom accept polygamy, and as Shion is a saintess she's more than qualified to be the second wife (it was also shown she studied to become queen following Maria). I believe they'll do great ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

it feels like the comments bounce between 1/3 accepting the prince as endgame, another third still disappointed in the the ending ship, and the last thirds being masochists who question why we're still here (I'm one I guess LOL)
