this firey chick keeps trying to one up our girl when it comes to being "best waifu" in their society's standards which is hilarious cause they should have already known Duke agentine was already considered "odd" in terms of their standards for not having a fiance.
Doesn't mean shit when the person in question has preferences lol~
but RIP for any of the dudes of the kingdom.
I'm sure most of them know there's barely any chance for their girls but imagine being the side boy hanging by a limb for the duke.

How did noone figure something was wack with the "Golden Summoner's wife" being on the battlefield? Did they just figure with how disfigured the backfire was, she's just some loon looking for death and was like "eh why not"???
Like during the engagement change, he mentions that they'll figure something is up if she goes with them to the battlefield so it's better that they aren't seen together.
I know before she came back, she would do almost anything for him but if she had to hide her identity, she something wouldn't make sense..

I think it's because she hid her "ugly" appearance in her first round of life after the mana-increasing spell backfired. She had remained in her room for a whole year, I believe, before that happened, so I doubt anyone other than Gaspal, the cousin, the father, and the servants knew her identity. The soldiers on the battlefield probably assumed she was an injured civilian from a town nearby or that she was a servant to Gaspal. I don't remember there being any mention [on the battlefield] that the disguised, scarred person was Baron's wife. I could be wrong, though.

Ah.. yeah with her being such a skilled summoner it wouldn't be surprising if she could figure out a summon to hide her if really needed.
Plus with her mini debut in the current life with her dressing up and noone really recognizing her, it really does show how little she's seen in society.Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
Being a poor civilian/servant would also be a good guess too!
I can totally see Gaspal getting praise points from people thinking he picked up a poor dedicated mutt off the streets(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I think I'm thinking too much on this mb but yeah.
So I understand that the royal family wants to keep a hold of the mc's family because they are powerful+have access to the spirits which the royal lineage has been blacklisted from but why would they intentionally sour their relations with them?
Like sending ugly cheating agielle was sort of a way to get a royal to marry into their family but now they're intentionally trying to break off the uncle's marriage with his wife who I admit isn't quite faithful for having thoughts for her brother in law. Wouldn't the mess with the rumors etc. be another sign of aggression against their family?
Like the dad already hates the king at this point..
Is the king just trying to pick a fight with Rovel because of his wife, the queen?
Is the Queen just another lustful mess in this story and the king is just salty his wife getting off at another man lol?

Just my thoughts! The king is driven mad to ensure to trap them with any means. He wants their power for the kingdom (demons fear spirits) so badly that he has to force them. Spirits and royal family don't mix so force them to.
Spreading rumors is a aggression and add pressure by getting more people on the royal family. Spreading rumors and causing the problem to be bigger one then offer to make it go away "if your daughter just marries my son"-the king

what if the girls who were being kidnapped relate to the girls seen through the tampered bath house mirror for the markings?

What if the "sword will bring along time's bastard" meant that one guy who owned the bag is actually the real time bastard instead of the dude with the sword?
Don't know enough Japanese and haven't seen the original phrase to get a better idea but that could make it interesting if the guy shizuko was wary of was just a red herring.
I think he loves both his children but for sure the headass princess who just got her ass wooped and needs to control people sure is being coddled.
Maybe the king only lets her do that because she's the cursed child everyone hates more? I wouldn't be too surprised if that's the only reason why she's getting away with that shit.
