Before my rant, I LOOOOOVED this chapter! It had be silent gasping in the middle of the night. THE WATER BOTTLES! GAAHHHH!!!!
Now my rant:
I'm now not on anyone's side. Cain is sus, Yahwi needs to sort out his issues, and Jooin needs to stop putting out without knowing what he wants to get back, ergo, sort out his issues.
On to the next one.
The shadow behind that curtain is that guy who wants a taste of Nakyum. I believe her intentions are good, but at this point, she's going to be a tool to get Nakyum into that other lord's bed.
I'm also reading people cursing Seungho over the threat: guys, please. It's getting old spewing all the hate. We already know he's a terrible character, one led by fear of Nakyum leaving him. The kisaeng sister is a threat to his security; he's definitely determined to keep her away.
Dude u have SAID IT FINALLY someone with sense god I m so fucking tired of reading 14 yrs old going on about seungho this and that like fuck ughh the mangaka is allowed to make character with whatever personality they want and IF ppl Don't like it than don't fucking read it and if u want ONLY PURE SHIT GO READ BIBLE OR SOME FUCKING CLICHE FLUFF
I accept that he sucks: Seungho is a dick. Still, it's his kind of nasty that keeps a whole lot more people coming back than had this been a sweet and fluffy read. At our extent of personal maturity, his kind of personality is exactly the serving we want to see how it progresses. People need to learn about the out button if they feel this guy is just too messed up for their delightful worlds.
I am!! This chapter was just so annoying! All he keeps telling Yahwi: You don't get it! You don't know! That's not what I want! What the fuck do you want, already?!?! Say the damn words instead of expecting others to read your mind! Like, fuck!!!!! I get it. Yahwi mistreated him, and that was bad. I still don't get what he wants and I'm on his side every damn time!!!
I'm going to be blunt: It's just as much of a toxic relationship to imagine someone knows what you want just because they know you. Even Jooin doesn't know Yahwi; he assumes he does just because Yahwi is good-looking (his perversion is for pretty things). In a relationship, it is a must to tell the other person what you want, and for the other to decide whether or not they can do it or not. That's a healthy, respectful, and surefire way of becoming a better partner.
What I can conclude is that both people have a lot of development to go through: Yahwi, learning what it means to not see himself as someone's tool, and Jooin to learn to express himself better.
I literally finished reading the chapter, looked at the chapter no., then went: fuck! If this is like A Guy Like You, we still got 60+ more chapters of miscommunication and assumptions, the bag guy revelation, and an actual meaningful transformation ten chapters to the end. Like, seriously. That's so long!!!!!!
When Doumeki's seated with the black coat over his shoulders, that's how you know it. Doumeki is boss now. He's yakuza, unapologetic, and unwilling to relent. I really hope this is the volume we finally get to start Yashiro's past trauma and finally get these two the love they can thrive with.
Thank you for the update!
For the first time in this story, I felt the horror creep in, and it was in recognizing how the seme is trying to isolate the uke. Yeah, it's finally creeping in.
