Extremely beautiful and fantastic style. Loose painterly and chromatic style really left a stunning impression!! My only critique would be that although it was stunning visually, the plot and narrative was almost too symbolic and cryptic to the point where it leaves the reader perpetually unable to grasp and the plot. But it definetely has a different way of telling a story. You have to look through the beautiful chaotic strokes to the perfectly rendered faces--which worked well to match the chaos of the story's theme of pollution, corruption, and overall apocalyptic-esq chaos. Great composition and webcomic-like paneling. Great use of color, angle, perspective, and light. That being said, the story would be more effective with a bit more grasp on creating clarity in the writing a little more so one doesn't get so lost in the analogies and understanding of the meaning of both the words, all while determining the content of the imagery. Overall a more visual piece I would say. I look forward to seeing the artist's other work (: Wonderfully promising (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ Delicious food for the eyes!

What I got, was that in the human world she was satisfied with being just an "extra" and going with everyone else --but after experiencing this other world her fantasy manga world--she still remained herself and had to struggle with what she always resigned herself to--being unimportant. But the very end she had a revelation that she had her own role and choices--she could control her destiny (unlike Haruka's). She realized that although the power and responsibility scared the shit out of her, that it also was really fun. And from that being fun, she saw that the ups and downs of being your own character along with the roles and responsibilities. Also that it's not about being the main character but being the best version of oneself was pretty wonderful and fun. And when the magician praised her, it was like acknowledgement for her being her own self instead of always going with the flow. I *was* hoping for some parallel of the other world and hers, like a charm or a reincarnated character or something (like Spirited Away or After School Nighmare), but I sort of understand it a bit.

I totally agree and appreciate your comment. For me, what you explained is what made this manga sooo good for me despite the bad comments and unorthodox ending. It's worth the read because of the new perspective it could give upon further analysis. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Although the story has taken a different turn from what I had thought would happen, I am impressed that the seme MC actually had the tact to consider that just bc his friend is gay, does not mean he's into him.

I hope that it all works out somehow, with a little less netorare, perhaps? Maybe in Mio's perspective?

Their relationship, which had chemistry from the get go, was riddled with sexual innuendos and tounge-in-cheek remarks. So I should be fine with it, but she did only *just* confess a couple of days before and before they could totally make sense of their feelings and who they were directed towards, they escalated right into the sex. Which normally, I would be totally fine with, if it were originally that sort of manga, but rather than sexily easing into almost-smut, they just flipped a switch and it was on. ~le sigh~ They could have had such steamy pre-sexcapades. But, I hope Atsushi stops comparing Nozomi with Moe, and I hope their relationship goes well (≧∀≦)

I really love the art and the style is addictive, and the characters were drawn very well! My only critique would be that I don't know the characters enough to fully enjoy their quirky relationship; it almost seems like a spin off of another story I haven't read--like of characters. Otherwise I really enjoyed their dynamics and chemistry--has potential with some clean lines and perhaps paneling and a touch of color--to become something really wonderful and fun (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

It's all in Japanese? Shouldn't it be listed as a raw then?

I love how the main character is like a fan girl and the friend/"holy maiden" is like the central character playing out in real life the plot of an otome game.

I have this odd theory or idea that the mother thought she was going to be unable to have children or married with a previous child from another marriage, and that was Never co. And then she either treasured Will because he was her "real" child, or reminded her the most of her late dead husband. It would make sense that that was why she was so nice to Nico until Will was born. Or she is just a witch with a b. Either or.

    Manga Devourer October 22, 2015 10:29 pm

Not sure, but I think it sounded like she was nice toNico until she figured out he was gay and then she saw him as a rival for Will who she seems to confuse with the dead father.

    MissJenny October 24, 2015 6:13 am

That also makes sense... Though no matter how much I rationalize the why, I still can't wrap my head around the mother's behavior being acceptable, even among the whole incestish thing. I mean, they were young and she went away overboard.

I Think we can also all relate to favoritism and neglect and how much it sucks so I think this concept really makes us (me, if no one else) get riled up. Totally agree though, she totes sees nico as a rival in her unhealthy attachment to Will.

Does anyone else sense a time skip in the future???(≧∀≦)
