I think people comments are just shit cause you didn't seriously read the webtoon.
Why do you hate Rutger ? For me it's like the webtoon Leveling up my husband. He love her but don't know how to express his feeling.
So saying " no rutger it's not the ML when you don't understand the line of the story just sh** up. And they are many webtoon ML are toxic. Here, we don't know for sure what it's the trueself of Rutger in previous life of Fl

I agree with you and understand your point of view about the fact that she hates Rutger. Because it is through her that we follow history.
And I just wanted to highlight that people judge and criticises a character too quickly and give him a label, when they don't have all the elements to know if the character will be more white or black.
I saw your comment first, but I think a lot of ppl share your sentiment. Personally, the story is hinting that he's a good poor boy who got misunderstood, but the consequences of his actions on our FL are enough for me to not like him.
Sure he may not directly harm her, but by neglecting her, he put her in the most vulnerable position in the power-hungry palace plus he's in the spotlight too being a strong crowd prince candidate and all. That led to a lot of traumatic events for her. I'd say her being with him caused her more traumatic and emotionally despairing situations than when she was with the dad. (Dad is the biggest jerk here tho. Don't get me wrong.)
no "love triangle" please. is it me or are we reading different things because i feel like people didn't understand the story around the main couple? oh i know they have the prince and/or puppy syndrome for 3rd wheel ( he's cunning, manipulative and sleep which whoever like chap 33 in front of people too so he is almost like the ML ) ok ML top is not perfect but it's just the beginning of the story and try his best for the bottom and his past probleme
