Jeemee's question ( All 1 )

about question
I moved out of my parents’ house for university and came back home recently for work and vacation. I only brought my bike, a bag, and a few clothes because I planned to return to my uni city with a friend who has a car + another friend was joining us for the ride too.

Fast forward to the day we head back: we arrived in our study city around 11 p.m. They dropped me off at my place and immediately went out clubbing. The next morning, I woke up to a text saying they had busted the car tires. I was like, okay, whatever, things happen.

We were originally supposed to return to our hometown by 2 p.m. But she told me they had to go urgently to the garage to fix the car, so the departure was pushed to 4 p.m. Around 4, I messaged them asking when we were leaving. My friend (the car owner) replied, “soon.” Now to me, “soon” means within 5–15 minutes. But an hour went by, and they still hadn’t shown up. I messaged again, and she said they were on their way.

When they finally arrived, instead of apologizing or explaining, my friend started scolding me, saying I pissed her off for asking when they were coming. I was shocked. Like, why say you’re coming soon if it’s going to take another hour? Why not just be honest and say you’re not sure? I wasn’t even mad about the tire thing, that’s not her fault. What frustrates me is that she doesn’t seem to realize people are depending on her. You can’t just casually throw out timelines and then not follow through, especially when others have plans too.

And honestly, this isn’t new. Every time I go out with her and depend on her, something goes wrong. Last time, she locked us out of her place until 4 a.m. because she forgot her keys, and my phone and keys were inside her apartment. That happened twice in a single week. Even when we were leaving to come back to the uni city, she showed up an hour and a half late.

It’s not just about today, it’s the buildup of all these little chaotic incidents that finally pushed me over the edge. I know she didn’t slash her own tires on purpose, but still, I can’t help feeling exhausted and fed up. It’s like chaos follows her wherever she goes, and if you’re with her, you’re just expected to roll with it. The ride home was completely silent, I barely said two words the whole way.

So yeah. What do you think?
