Ik ppl are tired of MCs who trust someone who's bad, since it makes the MC seem naive and stupid. But the reason why MCs still trust someone who we know is bad is bc they have been manipulated and gaslit by that bad person. Like, idk why ppl get so mad when MCs, especially uke mcs, wanna go back to someone who seems like family to them. We know what bad things a character has done or will do, but the MC doesn't. That's the drama and suspension. Even when ppl know this, they still act like it doesn't make sense.
