I just read the novel and it’s literally one of the greatest things I ever read. Like holy shit the author is a genius. Forget the romance, the plot itself is so damn fascinating.
So far this webcomic is a good and accurate adaptation of it, but the writing in the webnovel is on another level. Some of the coolest passages I’ve ever read.

Yes, exactly. It's not like the author is sugarcoating the abuse and trauma the MC suffers either like so many other stories in this genre tend to do. I wouldn't even classify this as a BL; the novel is pretty grim and tragic from what I've read.
Legit thought I was hallucinating when the uke revealed what was bothering him. Never seen an uke act that straightforward before. An average yaoi writer would have stretched out the FWB drama for another 20 chapters, instead they are dating and we are moving on to new and better drama. GOOD SHIT.
