You can defend this manga without being a rape apologist. It's simple. Repeat after me: It's not real, its a manga, no one is actually getting hurt, if you dont like it go read Kono Ore Ga Omae Nanka Suki Na Wakenai which is by the same mangaka and has no rape. There done. No need to make yourself one of those stereotypical brainless yaoi fangirls that make the rest of us look bad.

The problem with tachibana ..is he has the kidnapping hanging over his head.
He escaped ..but with the renewal of the recent kidnappings ..he has survivors guilt .
It's not shown but it is refered that tachibana's kidnapper did perverted thing to him ..afterwards he fed tachibana cake ..that's why he detests cake ...but then why open a bakery ..? Subconciously ge wants to catch the man that did this to him ..face him and confront him ..!
But he has other issues ..such as relating and keeping relationships ,because of it to ..can't keep a girlfriend ..can't keep mal friends except for chikage .
Later chikage leaves to be on his own ...the aprentice goes to paris to learn under jean baptiste ..( imho I think he really want to tune the bastard up but that's just me ) which leaves ono and tachibana on their own ... are tgey together ...? It's assumed that they are finally Friends ... the sensei leaves it there so people will use their imaginations

Why does he start crying on page 28?

I love the art even though some might disagree! The way the eyes and hair are drawn are spectacular! And the relationship between these two are rare to find in yaoi manga! Most ukes are innocent while Antonie isn't afraid to flaunt his sexuality and sexual needs! My type of uke! XD And I like how Claude puts up with Antonie's attitude!

It made sense to me and it has got to be one of my favorite mangas of all time :D
