So for the recent spoilers, Jugyeong broke up with Seojun because of hate comments but also she got blackmailed by the company to breakup with him. A lot of people are dropping this series because of how she acted and lack of character development. I feel like people failed to realize that THIS IS A REFLECTION OF REAL LIFE (some parts). Relationships AREN'T perfect; it can be messy and you have to understand that everyone's relationships varies person to person, even in different countries. Seojun's career as an idol is going to skyrocket and the more he's well known the more fans he will have and events he has to attend for his career; leaving little time for relationships. Sure, you can hide it but it's EXTREMELY difficult since everything has to be done in secret and little to none meeting places in public places; especially if you're an idol in Korea. Even if you hide it well, there will be crazy fans out there that know you're dating their idol and will constantly bash you to no end mentally and along the way physically. Even if Jugyeong tells him about the problems she's facing, it's most likely he'll quit being an idol (which was his dream to be one) and there won't be any chances to have an opportunity for that to come in a while. Jugyeong doesn't want Seojun to end his career because of her happiness. Seojun does have financial problems and him being an idol will help that; just remember how many jobs he had to take to help support his family; it was mentally exhausting for him. People even breakup when someone is leaving for their military service and wouldn't want their partner to wait for 2 years (happened to me).
Also, Jugyeong insecurities and her as a person won't change in a snap of a finger. It takes MONTHS OR EVEN YEARS to change who you are as a person; varying from person to person. You also have to consider that they live in Korea and their culture + views are vastly different from where you live. Korea is heavily keen on appearance and that's slowly changing as of now. Also, finding help for these problems for your mental health is somewhat taboo in Asia and there will be people you find to help fight that issue will suggest the worst things.
Idk, I'll keep reading to see how it goes, but it irks me that people hate on Jugyeong mistakes mostly on communication issues which everyone has.
This had a great storyline involving cooking, but with the sudden change of art styles and basic plot it’s just not that interesting anymore. Characters are kinda bland as well now…
