I mean, if I was being tortured 24/7, I’d be a bit of a bitch, too lol. The women in the story are fucked over way harder than the men despite the men being the ones taking the major actions and the second sister being barely involved in the main plot that it feels almost misogynistic.

Women who did little to nothing except not want to die and defend themselves from harassment: suffer a fate I would rather kill myself than go through

Men who decided to help her out and took all the actions leading to Juliette’s downfall because they got distracted by OGFL being kind and having a nice rack: they end up feeling bad about themselves

Honestly I think others in the comments have explained it better than I can but to give you an idea they are basically saying "her ignorance is a sin" as she is clueless to what her father and other nobles were doing but in the comments some people make very good arguments about if the story is right or not but honestly there is always both sides and the people in the story cannot and don't she her side of the story like we do just like most people say "eat the rich" most dont see the other perspective yk but if you want like a good analysis if you go back a page I think you will find a few good ones

Still can't put blame on her when she literally wasn't weaned outside the world. What you said is like "not knowing what is happening in the world rn just bc you don't have internet or just busy in life/work is a SIN"... You just can't just force ppl to know things that you know just because it's necessary for you.

You can't blame the fault to the innocent ppl who literally didn't touch a single thing related to the matter. A lot of ppl actually suffer but these sufferings are all different. The townsppl in the story and ml literally just let her live to suffer and pushing her to suicidal attempts then suddenly becoming soft to her like they're sorry which is a joke. People who blame people that are born with privileges are dumb, like you can get your own privilege by working hard and not blaming ppl just bc of your shortcomings.

Honestly I completely agree with your argument but you got to take in account that all the towns people don't think like that all they see are the nobles having party's and spending money while they sorta suffer at the same time the ml has absolutely no excuse for his actions even if the author trys to justify it as some sick twisted way of expressing his surppresed love for her I find it just as ridiculous the lies he told her it he reminds me of the ml in the story what it means to be you(except I can accept his redemption ) but at the same it this story is crazy for diving into these topics but I completely agree with you on this (￣∇￣")

theres one scene where annette just finished her piano contest idk i forgot and theres lot of ppl outside the place shouting for protest and annette saw that. and she saw this one girl (now grown up, shes the sister of annette killer (?) the one who stabbed knife at annette) after annette saw that she asked her father (sorry i forgot she ask or not what happened) and thats it. she just ignore what happened to her surrounding. one of things this people will argue with that point "ignorance is a sin" btw im not trying to fight here

I am also not trying to fight no worries but yeah I totally see how she could have been blamed for something that like she honestly had no idea about and it's one of the things I love about this story it's the aspect that others including her husband just assume she knew and chose to ignore what was happening and even when her husband learns that she was in her bubble her little world he is to busy self loathing for still liking her but a plot that takes the I will make you suffer aspect is one that I recommend you to read called- into the rose garden - it is a bl but I think that the ideas there of creating a place for them to suffer was really good with a good like revenge at the end and was what I wanted to happen for this one kind of ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
