she was playing a role to act like a cool little kid. she even said she didn’t want the guys she was with to do anything to him. you definitely cannot say it’s not a matter of romance because literally every single action manhwa i read on this site has people pissing their pants and faces colored red the moment a love interest is introduced.

the thing is with gender, if a male character did what she did and then they became cool and friends like ml and fl, you guys would see it as a redemption arc. is it not the same for her? her actions in the beginning of the story are inexcusable in terms of morality but she grows as a character

It's also interesting because there's definitely people that are hating on a manga because there's a girl in it, especially if it's a shounen action manga and mc is given a female love interest. They hate and absolutely disregard a manga after hearing there's romance and some assume that romance = bimbos.

It’s internalized misogyny 100%. I get the hate if the fl is useless or their entire personality it being weak with giant tits and even the hate on harems bc i hate all those too. But some women (bc lets be honest its mostly women and some men) cant fathom a girl being redeemable or even strong. So as soon as they hear that a girl is in a manhwa they wont even give the manhwa the chance.

ALSO for the case with Amy, we have to think about their setting and how each character was raised. Amy was an unsupervised noble that hung around bad people whi was probably taught that commoners are the worst thing on the planet and shirone was fr a peasant so of course she’d say what she said
