Damn fucking without even washing/wiping off the blood.

Does anyone have any spoilers about if Philomel's past gets out? I think the thing that's bothering me the most is how all the other characters (other than her mage bros and dad who just openly support her and accept her) don't understand her desperation to escape the palace and it kind of annoys me. I feel like if anyone investigated they would surely find out the rumours and mistreatment that occurred when she was younger and understand her feelings (is there something in the novel that explains why this doesn't get out?). My girl literally ran for her life and when was forced to come back was clearly scared/petrified. I don't understand why this hasn't made anyone question their sense of reality (like red flag?). If a child I watched over for a long time tries to run away and desperately escape and believes their father hates them (will possibly kill them) and they don't have a place in the house where they grew up, I'm searching EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, I don't understand how people can chop up something like that to a 'simple misunderstanding.' Like NO ONE misunderstands being hated, especially intensely hated, unless there was an external factor somewhere that caused it (and then why aren't they trying to find that). Children also don't act out, without a reason. Why do they keep acting like she came up with these conclusions out of nowhere?? He's also openly has a terrible character, like he's not a good person?! So why are people surprised when the one person who he supposedly dotes on, comes out and says he's not a good person?

I also kind of wish that the dad's horrible behaviour at least gets known by those close to Phil because I don't like that everyone acts like that he's a caring father who just has a hard time openly expressing his emotions when in reality he literally just neglected and abused her all of her childhood (and literally threatened her and told her to live like a dead rat). I want people to hold him accountable for his crappy behaviour and stop making excuses for him. Especially the fiance- I'm hoping he makes the realization that young Phil didn't study because she knowingly knew she was hated/neglected and they didn't care what she did, not because she was loved/spoiled (idk that misunderstanding especially doesn't sit right with me).

Hmm I'm pretty sure I know what happened and how everything is going to play out (I've read a lot of stories like this), but I'm still going to continue to read because I like being right about things (and if I'm wrong, I'll be pleasantly surprised)

She's better than me, I would have punched the blue-haired chick and the fiance already I can't stand being forcefully touched, every time they grab her I want to scream

Honestly, out of everything that's going on, I think I'll be most upset if the beta turns into an omega because I'm sick and tired of that happening. I just want my beta romance, that's why I started reading this in the first place

Honestly, I don't hate Sasya but I'm happy Karel is laying some boundaries. Their relationship isn't healthy for either of them. I do have to say, I'm disappointed that Julian's and Sasya's friendship was ruined though, Julian was the only one who was honest and straightforward with Sasya and didn't expect anything from him. I kind of wish this turns into a making amends and going separate ways thing vs a romance.

Is it bravery or audacity??? Or just the power of love?

HAHAHA Lol, I thought we weren't serious and it was only friendship? But you're angry enough to slam him into a wall? Go cry in a corner and rot.

The power dynamics keep teetering back and forth like a see-saw.

Does Siyun have a lot to work on? F*ck yeah
HOWEVER, Jeongmin is hella naive and is steering him down the pathway to his own destruction (she should have hooked that man up with therapy from the beginning, not telling him to go meet his estranged parents). I got beef with anyone who believes the "you should forgive them because they're your parents" crap. His parents are clearly horrible, even with her never meeting them, the fact that they gave up on him so fast after finding out he got injured is insane. Her encouraging him to pursue that relationship is messed up.

Also, I'm confused about her overreaction to him grabbing the father. If he had used excessive force, I would have understood, but they were in a position where both of them could have been injured. The father has a history of violence, he had Jeongmin by the hair and he's twice the size of Siyun, what he did is arguably reasonable and would have been a pretty common reaction (it probably would fall under self-defence too). Her claims that his reaction to wanting to protect his loved one (an act made from the need to protect/concern), is on par with his malicious actions prior (acts made from a place of anger/malice) is completely unreasonable. I understand not wanting to be with someone violent and wanting him to grow and develop as a person but if you are going to freak at him in a situation where he was clearly scared and feared for your safety, maybe you should just break up (those conversations should be said calmly and using non-blaming sentences and redirection). But honestly, if she is going to continue to get upset at him about everything and set these weird conditions regardless of how they are working out (I'm still petty about the parents), she should just call it quits because clearly, he's not what she wants.

It's interesting that Alicia and Ophelia are doing everything to help and protect one another and everyone in the story thinks they hate each other. (I 110% believe Alicia only issued the bounty as a way to protect Ophelia- because as the victim's family, she would have a say over how the perpetrator is punished.)
Hopefully, Puppy Boy can help bring them back together, I feel like they would kill it as a powerful sister duo
