Is the ML toxic or is he just evil? I mean... He's the devil doing devil things, which I would agree are cruel but if we are being totally honest he treats the MC better and with more respect than 90% of romance manhwas I've read. I think the main thing is that though he's technically torturing the MC via her dreams, he still treats her with respect, cares for her and doesn't look down on her or resent her; which is better than most MLs written (the bar is in hell, but so is he... well was ). He's feeding off her sadness because it's his food and he really likes the taste not because he has a personal grudge against her or gets off on harming her. I mean it's early and more stuff could happen. I'm also probably biased because I fall in love with any ML that lets the MC finish a sentence and listens to them. But am I the only one who feels this way?
I love the mc but she feels kind of naive? I feel after having spent years in war you would be more mentally strong/mature (I feel like they are kind of making her seem incompetent too but idk it's too early to tell). She's also hyper-aware of the ML which feels weird to me because she literally shared a room with her comrades before and probably has seen men's naked bodies while at war, so why is she blushing so much and shy? (I feel like she should be unphased or at least less affected by it).
Also kind of hoping her people (people of Pervaz) roast/humble the Prince because his attitude is getting on my nerves.
I'm getting that feeling too! I really hope they don't go that way (like the damsel in distress or country bumpkin route). I was hoping for a strong power couple.
Also, I'm also confused about the attitudes the prince and his aides/allies are giving her? They keep acting as if she chose to be with the prince for love when anyone can see she only did it for the alimony and he dragged her into his plans. (Also how long are they going to continue to be shocked that 1-Pervaz is poor and starving- hence why she's so fixated on money and resources 2-she actually cares for her people, hence the marriage in the 1st place ) I don't understand why they keep being shocked that she's excited over supplies when the prince made fun of his dad and brother for not understanding how much war effects a region.
See it's not really the blushing that bothered me, because heck she could just be like damn he's hot (marriage and sword does a great job at depicting this). But it's all the little things it's paired with. What I'm nervous about is them taking a complex character with a lot of potential and making her an accessory to the ML. So far all the times she has interacted with the ML she comes off as naive and incompetent, with him only talking down to her. Also, it makes me anxious that she's going to fall for him 1st even when the ML has only been disrespectful to her and her people.
Okay so while I agree it wasn't ok to adopt Ayrin without her permission. I do think the circumstances are important to keep in mind. Since Ayrin is a shapeshifter she has zero rights unless she has an owner or family that she belongs to. That means for Ayrin to be able to do anything (like get the house she wanted) she would need some sort of connection/protection. With that in mind, I think it would also be highly unlikely for Ayrin to get adopted (and if she did probably by people with bad intentions). I think the duke was originally thinking of adopting her as a means to help her out (he says he wants to make her happy, and this was when she implied that her family kicked her out and she didn't have anyone to rely on). Also, it helps keep his kid safe because Ayrin would be used as a way to target Richard (with adoption he can help prevent that from happening and keep them both relatively safe). With the adoption, Ayrin gets more opportunities and can choose whether or not she wants to stay in the family. Also depending on when he submitted the application, the kidnapping plays a huge part in it. If he hadn't adopted Ayrin and she was sold to someone, there would be no way to get her back even if they found her. It also would allow him the ability to search for her more thoroughly after her disappearance (he's not going to be given the same leeway and opportunities searching for a slave vs searching for his kid). If he was just doing it for Richard, he wouldn't have adopted her and just forced her to stay as a pet or maid. He also did this not knowing she had a family who cared for her (but at the same time, one would assume if the family actually cared they wouldn't have driven her out).
And if we are being for real, I still haven't forgiven Ayrin's dad yet and would like to see him work for it. He only started kind of caring the last couple of chapters and I think a lot of people forget that he was planning on throwing her away when he got bored in the beginning.
I think a dad off, in which people spoil Ayrin is just what that poor girl needs.
I like your thinking and I'm all for Eirin being adopted by Richard's family since if she went back to the Etam family she would be mocked for being a lizard shape-shifter by the rest of relatives and her dad wants to make her the heir meaning more hate and objections from the family. even though her father and brothers care for her, the rest of the Etam house doesn't. so it's better to go to the Kollin family since the young master is obsessed with her and loves her a bit too much XD....and since the Richard's father is a fool for his son and they don't have prejudice against lizards. then Eirin will live a comfortable lifestyle.
but the perfect scenario (which is what I want in my imagination) is her being an Etam (so the dad won't go crazy) and marrying Richard when she's older. so she will technically be in both families.
Idk what the alpha is thinking but I don't think it's love. Honestly, it makes me uneasy too because it seems like it's just going to set the beta up with a false sense of hope.
I was thinking maybe the alpha thinks it's love but it's because of the pheromones of the Omega (!!)
But then honnestly the Beta is cool I mean he is a good lad. So it could be the alpha really likes him. (but is it '' love '' what is love with a capital L omg lol I should go to sleep right now ! By-e _
I hope she heals the disease, makes the kingdom fall in love with her and then DIPS OUT. I don't like the stories where the MC stays in the place that terrorized them for several years. Here's hoping she runs off with Rion and they live happily ever after and the kingdom will have to deal with having lost their saintess cause they suck. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Oohhhh spoilers
Read before from novel updates i think... That in the near future everything gets uncovered. Her family regrers things, fake one gets punished (i think she died) but people said it was a quick one and she should've suffered more. The priest gets punished as well. She ends up with Rio , goes to the other kingdom with him. Her family begged her to stay but she couldn't care less about them hence sentencing that pathwtic kingdom to doom because the light left them and she lived happily ever afterヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
YESSSSSSSSS. LOVE TO SEE IT. I'm even more excited the for coming chapters now ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Heck yeah!!!
Kinda feel bad for the other princess. She was manipulated than soon found out she wasn’t even what ppl made her think she was. But seeing from those reactions, she probably makes a bigger mistake soon so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
you are a real one this is so perf and totally makes those early chapters of angst so worth it
That is sooo satisfying. Love it
She wasn't manipulated into being a bad person even when she didnt know about how she was made she still treated ash badly
She was told all her life she was some greater being and that she had to avoid a certain person or else she’d be corrupted. Pretty sure that’s being manipulated. Especially since she was only a child
