PLS the way this story called me jaded the entire time they were lovey-dovey I kept expecting the other foot to drop and for the seme to betray us, do something super toxic or be found out for having done something super toxic in the past.
PTSD from the majority of BLs using this plot got us on edge frfr

I was waiting for them to suddenly drop that HE was the one who ripped off the 1, he lost on the battlefield
Also the mythical story about the dragon who made it rain + the fact that the bird guys can't fly/are weak in the rain; made me think our MC was going to try and run away and the ML was going to make it rain to stop/trap him
FR, I've read only a handful that are fluffy and stay fluffy. All the others go toxic so quick
I was fully expecting there to be a massive conflict about MC being in MLs territory but then it ended help
The way top kept mentioning borrowing/taking a wing I also fully expected for him to be the one that ripped the first wing and is somehow keeping it preserved as display or some shit. I was also absolutely terrified that he was about to start breaking the wings while they were in te cocoon. Very happy I was wrong and that it stayed wholesome.
