Everything about this story is green, the romance, the ML, the parenting and the friends. Nothing better ruin this for me

I thought he chose to sing that song because of the lyrics applied to what happened between them
Honestly, that sounds more likely but that makes this even more audacious. Why did he think that song was the one to go with? I get the song is often interpreted in a couple of different ways, the most popular ones being it is seen as a youth anthem, to celebrate living in the moment and to be able to look back on the past with nostalgia. The other is loved and entangled relationships, in which one looks back onto a past relationship with regrets in search of amends. BUT THAT'S SUPER MESSED IN THIS SITUATION. The ML has shown no effort to make amends/to apologize and has shown zero guilt for what he did to the MC. He even blackmailed him, after the MC had a reasonable outburst and showed only superficial emotions and actions so far. So how is he going to sing a song of regret and the want to make amends with NEITHER OF THOSE EMOTIONS
Also, this isn't directed at you. More of a yell toward the universe I realized I came on a little strong with this response
No you are so right about everything you said, I hate the way ml acting as if he’s the victim in this when they reunited. Also he didn’t come looking for mc to apologize or make amends in the first place, he came bc he kept having that dream of when they slept together. He was living just fine with no remorse
and he did it with a fcking grin on his face... I'm so disgusted. Have some dignity my guy!!!
Y'all I skimmed the raws (only go up to chapter 12 so far) and the story pretty much follows this trend of the ML being manipulative (his feelings are flakey asf too) and the MC being dragged around against his will.
I'm going to stick around for a while longer but if it becomes one of those stories where the MC falls in love with the ML despite him being treated terribly or if the MC can't accomplish anything on his own, I'm going to dip out.
