Jean just looks like a obsessive man who likes adele and wants to cage her by the name of "protectiveness" ! For God's sakes he's her fiance but Jean treated him like he was the enemy. Another pathetic man who thinks staying near him is the safest way rather than her fighting for her life
I said the same shit but people kept attacking me because he was just being a friend, like you don't put your friend's husband under the bus and undermine his capabilities as a husband and as a duke while trying to act like a controlling husband towards his friend. It makes you question into what kind of friends these people have because that shit right there is overboard.
I get that this story is about breaking stereotypes but this is just too unrealistic if u ask me ! Both of them are like poison to each other. I agree that boys can be soft and girls can be stiff but this is just exaggerated to the max ! The FL is like a walking statue and the ML is a shivering mess. The FL is making the ML too anxious and the ML is stuck in his bubble, plus there is no growth but decrease in their characteristics as the story moves on. It's like their personalities are based on one word and doesn't feel like a real person. I'm so frustrated !!! The ML's best friend is the only reason that made me continue reading this. Sorry but I can't help but rant after reading this !!!!
its about stereotypes but also growing out of them so when there character development kicks in she'll show more emotion and he'll be more confident i get ur point its annoying but the pay off later on will be super good i think they'll still have the main personality type but they'll grow as people i think the part where she confronts her friend and the part where hes honest with her proves they grow but this gives me slow burn vibes so it might take a while but im sure itll be pretty worth it
I've seen comments that Conrad isn't like a male lead and people hating him for that but I disagree ! Unlike the other male leads he's mild and gentle without standing out too much and his approach is the most realistic when it comes his love for Leslie. I'm not hating the other male leads but I think a gentle male lead is attractive in his own way and not all relationships have to be passionate, they can be soft and comfortable too !
I thought this would be fluffy but boy was I mistaken. This is not my cup of tea but I can see where the author wants this to go. It's better they don't end up together. The uke is just hurting the seme and they have no chemistry now.
