I'm sorry but Takagi was just a jerk. He should've just told him the truth at the beginning and if he didn't like him when he confessed, he should've just rejected him. I guess the author wanted him to seem like a mature aloof adult but he just didn't want to be bothered. He was an idiot and hurt Toraji Kun. Stringing him along like that and lying to a guy who earnestly confessed to you, I would be enraged if I found out.
I know Reality shows are meant to be trashy but usually dating shows in Korea have some sort of cute moments here and there. But in this show everything is about drama and to be honest I don't think the author thought about character development at all. Kyungmo and the glasses guy keep pissing me off. Jooah has become a passive wallflower right now and Taerin is a coward in Wolf's clothing. She's all talk and no action. she is supposed to have a straightforward and refreshing personality but in recent chapters I haven't seen that side of her at all. Right now the story feels stagnant and its missing something for me.
I don't know how to feel about oushi. I think he had a bit of Savior complex with yuki (since he thought nobody else could understand her and only he could). Like don't get me wrong, he genuinely liked her but not everything is sunshine and fluff because he was kinda immature and annoying about it. (which in reality happens a lot). For someone who cherishes the words of others like Yuki, i would've been hurt by some of the things Oushi did. Even if he did it because he cared about her, it wasn't right to be bratty about it. Then we went into this whole redeeming arc for oushi which I appreciate but its just a bit long. Plus nobody can deny that he was being selfish for confessing to Yuki. Even if he did it vaguely, he did it knowing it was wrong to do that to someone in a committed relationship. Overall, the art makes it seem cute but I don't know if I would cheer for someone like Oushi in real life.
Why does the pacing seem weird ? Like somehow the author is forcing them to like each other. And this isn't what I expected from this manga. Like I get that the FL is innocent and gentle but shouldn't she have some maturity? It's like I'm watching high school kids cosplay as adults. I've read manga where even though the FL is innocent, she's still capable at work. It doesn't feel like a workplace romance.
There is no depth to the characters, no character development, and the plot is moving so fast. It's like all the chapters are short recaps of some other story. It is kind of easy to read but I don't feel any attachment to the story as a whole.
Japan has a lot of "ansoros". It's written to be like an anthology on purpose, albeit with one continuing lineage.
Basically, just consider it to be a collection short stories, it's not meant to have depth, but just be a fun and easy read.
(Which I personally find enjoyable sometimes when I want a break from 80 chapters of drama that goes nowhere XD)
The way I see it, both of them are just selfishly using each other and are gonna get hurt. The seme is just pushing his feelings and using Uke's easy going personality to satisfy his delusions. The Uke is just using the seme to get over his past and find a way to forget the pain. Both of them are not thinking about the other person and are just acting according to their own selfish needs. Either the seme should move on from his feelings or the uke should reject him strongly and distance himself. But they're not doing any of this and are just making matters worse. Realistically this kind of relationship will end in flames but since this is a BL manga, I'm sensing a happy ending. We'll see......
