very strange decisions on part of the artist for this series,

for one changing the methods the FL uses to make herself uglier from simply having heavy makeup, undereye bags, and freckles into just darkening her skin with freckles. Its like the artist is trying to say being darker is whats making her uglier.
Thats Fucked Up. Especially since that wasn't in the og novel at all, idk what the artist was going for but it sucks and it brings down what could've been a great story for no reason. idk how these artists get chosen for these stories when they cant even do the bare minimum of adhering to the novel that they’re SUPPOSED TO BE ADAPTING. and its not even just the colourism, stuff like getting rid of the MLs curly hair and downplaying his freckles too. all around strange decisions on the part of the artist.
