What does 188 mean? Can someone please explain? I'm not really into manhua bc i'm having a hard time understanding the translations, its ruining the flow of the story so I always drop it when my brain can't anymore. (￣∇￣")

188 series is a novel series written by the author Shui Qiang Chen. The series had 11 novels and it was named 188 because all of the Tops in series have the same height 188cm plus they are 3rd generation rich boys and they are known as 188 boys group novel series. Her bottoms are more diverse in background as they ranged from poor to extremely rich( like this book MC). All 11 books are crematorium ( in Chinese it means chasing your wife back) type, where basically Top hurts or in some books including this novel, traumatized bottom, and they have to chase them back. One thing is that the angst in most novels of this series do not follow the Black Lotus kind of angst. The majority of angst this series never really follow the misunderstanding trope, so yeah she likes to write her tops as scum and let them be not redeemable for their actions. Novels are far better and give insight of both characters (SQC is a really good writer and knows how to make their characters realistic even though they are still characters) than manhua as China has strict laws regarding BLs for over a year and they cut out some of the dialogues and scenes resulting this issue for new readers. As for me I’ve read the novel so translation is fine for me, even if I read in Chinese, I don’t think it’s that bad. So would recommend to read the novel first

Anyway, I already read some manhua, here and other sites also, some don't have good translations that's why I always drop it when the first chapters has bad translations bc its ruining the story, the conversations are not matching with the situations.
I started reading manhua bc of The Untamed, then watched its donghua then the manhua and fell in love with the novel. And started reading other manhua then.
