His feelings are valid, yes, he's afraid and whatever but keeping things that way will make it all worse, and now it comes to that. They still didn't trust each other though, both parties. Her for not opening up about his family when anytime they would cross each other in the future, and him for lying just because you're afraid of her reaction. They've been together for 10 years yet their still acting like in their early stage of relationship. We'll there still more chapters to come, will see how it unfolds.
