Hi! You don't know how happy I am to talk to you! For so long I felt like a Karen, always angry and annoying because I take stories to heart. And I felt really alone too... People are so fixated with hot characters, their "romance" and stereotypes such as "Uke = cute and small/ Seme = tall and manly" that they'll not actually care about plots as long as there is those 3 little things. So I thought that maybe I was the strange one to actually care when a story depicts abuse, when there is rape, or too many stereotypes, or when the story doesn't make any senses or (mostly) when the author glorify and romanticize rapes and abuses. And usually it's because of poor writing skills. They want some drama so they'll put some rape in it and then the seme will say I'm sorry, it's because I love you and then the uke will fall for him all over again???? I mean I'm sorry but this is a shitty storyline ! AND THE WORSE IS THAT ALMOST EVERY YAOI HAVE THIS TROPE !!! Rape became a FUCKING norm in yaoi so that's why people accept it more? But it's not a reason to accept it? If people said louder that they don't like it, then maybe authors will stop doing it!! If people keep being blind and stupid and accept it, obviously this shitty trope will remains. I feel like people have lowered their standards when it comes to yaoi, OR THEY HAVE SHITTY TASTES??? But there are wayyyyy to many people like this... Personally I'm super exacting, and I'll keep being like this haha. But, I just want to let you know, that you're a real spark of light to me!
