1. As far as we know, him killing every woman who’s claimed to love him was a rumor. Nothing we confirmed ourselves. For all we know, that’s one of those distorted stories where everyone’s got it wrong and the emperor is all to happy to keep the lie going because that keeps people in check.

2. We know that he knew she was pregnant. Therefore he also knew that any other woman claiming to be pregnant with his child would be lying. I’ve seen these types of mangas where lying to a figure like an emperor gets you killed. Why everyone is so shocked about that is beyond me. It only makes sense from the FL’s point of view because she didn’t think he knew and the way he worded it made it seem like she would suffer that same fate.

So that lined up with the rumors that she heard. Not to mention he made her a wanted criminal which in her mind only cements the fact that he wants to kill her

He never said he’d kill her , all he said was if someone came to him lying like the red haired girl did and said they were pregnant with his child they would be lying. And he’d make them pay BECAUSE he knew who he slept with ... Second she is a wanted criminal she fled the empire PREGNANT with HIS babies sounds like treason to me .. All he wanted was to make her empress and take care of his kids she was upset because he knew the WHOLE time and didn’t say anything he just swept into her dreams and quietly looked after her ... that is why she ran not because she was scared he’d kill her and the kids

It’s a strength to be forgiving, not a weakness. Anyone can get mad but not anyone can calmly take in the situation without putting their own interests and feelings as priority.
It’s like if your best friend went through some shit and just had a trauma reaction because of you and instead of trying to understand you make them feel even more guilty and in pain by throwing a stupid fit that you’ll regret coz you know it was dumb and your friend knows hitting is wrong (and it’s not in their character)

btw trauma is totally a reason to be understanding and getting that just shows maturity and emotional intelligence.

Self respect isn’t just in people who egoistically put their self-interest as priority but those who are mature enough to analyze and understand the current situation and set the priorities by taking everyone’s pain, feelings, and interest into account.

Btw if someone uses trauma as a way of abuse, then you can still calmly analyze the situation and end up with the good result and getting the fuck out of here and maybe flipping the bird at them.
