I quite think that Satoru is also 'abusing' Tooru by taking advantage of him. But perhaps 'abuse' is not an appropriate word. I feel that the story is conveyed to be somehow shallow as it does not provide enough background information and the sort. Like, in the first place, why did the brothers have sex?
And I think I missed something crucial (too lazy to re-read) but why is the mother breaking down so much? And even ignoring the bright Satoru? What.
As if it would make a difference if Umi did really say I love you. He raped you, tortured you and abused you. What makes you think it's ok to do those things if he just has a speckle bit of love?
Beniko is in this borderline of stupidity, that's why I haven't totally loathed her. She is trying to have some pity for Umi that's why she endured those things (still there are actually some instances where she can just run the hell out). But now, her weak heart is starting to really get me. Please, don't feel any more sympathy for him. It's really really damaging for both of you.
Pls let it have a bad end....or good if looking from Beniko's perspective. I would rage if Beniko ever end up with Umi. Like I'll fucking kill both of them.
I don't mind if Beniko forgives Umi. But just don't end up together pls. That's just distasteful.
Too bad she isn't smart and cunning, she could make sure he does something awful to her and then run to the police and report his rapist ass. Hate him. I don't care about his suffering: no excuse for what he's done. If he really had loved Sora, he'd protect the girl his brother thought worth dying to protect.
I'm just sad there's no actual story for the brothers :(
